Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

Private-bathroom was okay but small, having a toilet-mat in a shared bathroom seems weird, the fact that it doubled as a shower mat even more so. Kitchen was not very clean and smelly, stayed away.
Situated in a residential neighbourhood, Arrived late due to long line at the airport but someone was on-site to help me get keys to the room, front-door and bathroom. Room was pretty nice, bed was good and there was plenty of space. Shower was okay. Small bag with shampoo, soup and conditioner as well as a toothbrush and tooth paste was a nice touch.

You cannot flush anything, so tissue go in the trash. There are five keys to manage.

Okay lets start #1 VERY unresponsive owner, never replies to his phone or messages, which is a massive problem we luckily got help from the woman who lives upstairs to get in and to connect to WIFI, otherwise we wouldn’t had been able to #2 bathroom is extremely dirty #3 area is a bit rough #4 you can hear EVERYTHING from upstairs even them breathing To be honest I could out up with everything due to the cheap price, but the only thing that is UNACCEPTABLE is the person in charge DOES NOT reply so if you have a problem or something you are literally screwed…
Bed is great must admit, is huge and comfortable.

We chose a private bathroom but there were people using it with us. There are different people in the house and the smell of what they cook all day long is disgusting. The pillows smelled of vomit, the room was dirty. The upper floor is constantly jumping and running. The area is not a safe neighborhood. I couldn't even stay one night
I've been in a 4-5 point spot before and I've never seen it this bad.

I had to wear my ear buds to get any sleep. I could hear people yelling all night and there was this loud hissing that didn't go away. It was as if a kettle was just at a constant boil. The heat was set way to high. I had to use 4 different keys just to get to the room I was staying at. When I arrived it was difficult to get in contact with the property management to check in. The stairs up to the door were covered in snow and slippery. Maybe room one and two were ok but I don't know what do know is room 3 was horrible.
Parking was easy.

When I arrived to the booked room, the owner of the property told me that another guest is already in the room and the room I booked wasnt available. He offered me a different room, I agreed in the beginning because I thought its close to the initial location, but the second room was 20 minutes ride away, it was on the other part of the city. Because he said to follow him, I drove to the second location. But when I arrived I didnt like the location, I asked for refund he said "Yeah no problem you can cancel the booking ". Cancelation process takes more than 24 hours, on the next day the property owner refused to refund. Thats all you need to know about this place. Better book a room in a hotel than to deal with this kind of bad attitude to customers.
