Location is not the best. Road noise is a major problem all night if you stay on the park side and work trucks from patrons are a problem in the early morning. You will need white-noise all night unless you're a sound sleeper. Also the TV & remote were a problem as they didn't sink well and it took 20min for the channel to come up.

Nice, clean, conformable and spacious. Breakfast was absolutely the highlight as it was the best hotel meal yet...and we stayed at 7 hotels over 2 weeks. Staff was amazing and informative.

Went to open pull out and found food in it. The pool was pretty dirty both times we used it. No towels in the cabinet by the pool either time we went. No bedding for the pull out in the room.

Attractive exterior. Beds were comfortable. Good breakfast. Easy check out. Nice to have microwave, stove, sink and fridge. Bathrooms were pleasant. Free water is nice and free popsicles for the kids. Easy Wi-Fi. Good parking. Looked like a nice gym. We didn’t use it.

Convenient to Carlsbad Caverns. It was a safe, comfortable place to get a nights sleep on our way to other areas of New Mexico. Staff was very friendly, breakfast was really good. A solid choice for visitors to the Carlsbad area.

There were some signs of wear and tear in the room: - scrape marks on the wall from carts of some kind - the carpet was bunching up in a couple areas. The location was good, but the downside was road noise. Fortunately, the HVAC control has an 'ON' switch for the fan, which provides some helpful white noise background. Soft close toilet seats should be a given at any hotel :-). Hair dryer was a bit weak. I can never figure out why hotels only provide 1 luggage rack.

The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed having the space provided by the studio king suite, in particular the extra large fridge, sink and toaster. Having 2 closets for clothes was also really appreciated. There were numerous drawers for putting things away during our 3-night stay, especially in the bathroom. The location was convenient.

I was looking for some information in the hotel room, like I am used to seeing in other places I have stayed, is documentation providing information on the hotel, i.e., where is the ice machine, exercise facility, restaurants, etc. In the Carlsbad area is Carlsbad Caverns, the Living Desert, and other spots a visitor might be interested in visiting. Just a suggestion.

The location was close to where I was working. Very nice property, well manicured outside and taken care of, and very attractive building outside and close to restaurants. The staff all were friendly. Breakfast was also very good.

This didn’t bother me but might throw some off, this is used by workers in the area so there are many workers trucks in the car park and they like to hang out in the front of the property and smoke and socialize.

Our room did not have a working phone during our entire stay since it seems that it had been disconnected by the previous occupant and not properly reconnected. Once it was properly connected, it was slowly charging during our entire stay. The TV also would not work properly since it could not access any channels and, because we could not reach the front desk by phone, we had to go down to the lobby to explain the problem. However, the young woman at the front desk was very helpful and came to our room to unplug the TV and make some hook-up adjustments. Also, we did not have an internet connection using our chromebooks until we bluetoothed it by making our phone into the hotspot. We did not figure that out until the morning. For all the inconvenience, the rate was too high. The people at the reception desk, however, who were always pleasant and helpful.

Townplace Suites is in an excellent location off the main route that goes through Carlsbad and leads to Carlsbad Caverns. The room is a nice size with a small sofa/bed, king size bed, TV, and an adequately supplied full kitchen which is very convenient. Staff at the reception desk is very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast had a good selection and the pleasant attendant made sure everything was well-stocked. Nice large bathroom also.

The entrance of the building where the garden was, was very inviting. We loved everthing about our room. We had our family of six stay comfortably. It was nice having a sitting area with the kitchenette, 2 bedrooms & 2 bathrooms. We didn't feel crammed in. We loved the large windows that let sun in. The staff was very friendly & breakfast had many options. It was delicious.

The fact that I was triple charged, and the staff was not very knowledgeable or helpful about these charges. They just said it would fall off my account. I was told because I booked the room through booking.com and that the front desk clerk did not understand the process of booking.com. She took my card on arrival and charged me, instead of following the procedure of getting the funds released from booking.com. So it showed as a double charge then when they closed out my room charge for the night I got a third charge essentially tieing up 700 dollars of pending charges, that still have yet to be released from my account 6 days later. All for a one night stay at your hotel! I'm sure I'll get my funds back but it was a bit much and a draining process making it so my stay was not as relaxing as it should have been.

The toilet seat was broken. The toilet paper holder was broken. Housekeeping just set extra toilet paper on the countertop and nothing was done to fix the broken holder. The dispenser for hair conditioner was missing and never replaced for the entire stay. Not quite up to the standards Normally expected for a Marriott property.

Loved staying here! The room was so spacious, the air conditioners were very efficient and the beds were comfy. My kids loved having the pool, and the highly was the continental breakfast! So many options!

There is a parking fee of $2.99 per night. This hotel is not located in a downtown area, and there is ample parking for the facility. No one is watching the vehicles, so the fee is unnecessary.

This hotel is about 25 minutes from Carlsbad Caverns National Park, and it is quite secluded. The breakfast was great - eggs, bacon, potatoes, waffles, oatmeal (with toppings), juices, milk, etc.

Very clean and comfortable. Cute mini-kitchen in our suite and a nice view of a park out of our window. Close to everything. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was wonderful.

It says there was a spa, but there was no Jacuzzi when we arrived it had been filled and also said there was a restaurant, but there was no restaurant in the hotel. Our room was dirty out there, trash cans, overflowing handprints on the walls, dirty dishes in the cupboard.

The parking lot was odd. And I think (but I'm not sure) that it could be sign-posted a little better. I was unaware until I left that I could have parked facing the front of the hotel, but that additional lot was on the other side of a curb, so I didn't realize it was part of the hotel.

Let me count the ways - rarely do I ever rate exceptional. This place deserved it. Every staff member I met was amazingly nice and helpful. Room was really beautiful, and the kitchenette was a nice to have.
