The bathrooms only had 2 showers and the pillows were really thin. But it’s not a deal breaker

It was in the heart of their little downtown. The staff was nice. Plenty of street parking within a block or 2. The rules were easy to follow.

1. It had a common/shared bathroom for all rooms. I was expecting a shared bathroom inside the room between the rooms. 2. Regarding the late checking fees weren't mentioned in booking.com.

Well, we were in a road trip, and the free parking is a couple of blocks away on residential streets. There was plenty of parking, and we happened to get a parking spot near the hostel to unload and load our car. Really not a huge issue, and it worked out.

This is a well run hostel right on the bustling Main Street of Bozeman. You are literally steps from all the bars and restaurants there, but since the hostel is in the basement, once you go back to your room it is quiet. The rooms are very basic and cozy. There is a library and a small communal kitchen and a good continental breakfast for you where you can hang out and talk to fellow travelers.

The staff were not the most welcoming compared to other hostels I’d stayed at. I felt like more effort could have been made to say hi to customers. Often staff would not smile as they go by you, didn’t say hi; engage in conversation. It felt like they were there as a group of friends, they’d congregate in the kitchen but didn’t involve much of the customers. It’d be nice to see activities promoted by the staff for customers and create joint events. There was a rodeo on during my stay, it would have been a great opportunity to promote events like this - instead the staff said they were going to try and go to a rodeo and didn’t invite anyone. Normally hostel staff are more welcoming but it didn’t seem to have that culture.

Though there were some bananas, breakfast options could be improved with healthier stuff.

Staff are really nice and attentive, and the hostel is in a great location. Communication after booking was fluent and replied to all my questions. Luckily, people were respectful in the room, and committed to the hostel rules. You have many facilities and access to laundry, fridge, etc.

There was no private parking for the hostel. We had to find parking on the street or pay for the parking garage (maximum time limit of 12 hours) It would have been helpful to know this in advance, to be prepared for the additional cost of the parking. The bunk mattresses were a bit flat, but otherwise adequate for sleeping.

The location was perfect for walking to a variety of activities and restaurants. I met a nice woman who was traveling solo. All the staff was very friendly and the other travelers respected the 'house rules' about quiet time, etc. Between the swamp cooler and the fan, the temperature was lowered enough for comfortable sleeping ( daytime temps in the 90's)

It is so tiny and the rooms doesn’t have any window. A few toilets/restrooms for all the people but I was lucky they weren’t so crowded when I were there.

The hostel was good. It has many facilities and the staff was nice but it is a bit claustrophobic.

Parking (street parking) is unpredictable and inconvenient. The amount charged at check in was higher than the online booking amount. When I questioned this, I was told that some kind of commission fee, plus tax had been added. This is not acceptable. I expect to pay the amount agreed upon at booking. This needs to be resolved. I am using booking.com for five different locations on this trip. At this moment, I am very dissatisfied. Please respond.

We thought we had reserved a full bed, but ended up with a bunk room by ourselves thankfully. It was fine, we just needed sleep before starting on our way the next morning.

We had a late night flight/arrival. We were able to come and get settled quickly. Definitely not a 4 star hotel, but everything about this hostel was accommodating and refreshing.
