Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Room had no view other than the wall of the next building which I could have almost touched if I'd have opened the window (just mentioning this, not complaining since we only stayed one night). A different roll-up shade maybe with a city or landscape scene would be better instead of the generic pattern. Breakfast while a good selection could be of better quality - cook scrambled eggs a little longer, make sure waffle irons are turned on, add other than just syrup for toppings, use better bakery for the muffins (tasted like Walmart-brand-lasts-forever-prepackaged). Could you use reusable cups, plates, and silverware? You are already washing other dishes anyway - would it not be more efficient to use reusable wares? Could always use disposables when there's a huge crowd expected and you wouldn't have enough staff to make sure everything gets cleaned up between guests.

I was charged 3 time for parking on one car. Still waiting on a refund.

Couldn’t get hot water. I didn’t ask about it as we were only there one night, but not hot enough to shower. And the air vent was very loud.

There werent any cups provided in the room at all. Not glass or disposable. There was also no pen or paper provided but no biggie we just happened to need one something fierce during our stay. The breakfast was cold by the time we got to it at 9am but the coffee was great and fresh.
The staff was super helpful in giving us suggestions on where to get late night food and what parts of town would be good to hang out in.

Parking was expensive. Bathroom was mostly clean but could’ve used a deep clean.
It was a comfortable place to stay. Beds were good. The rooms were a little tight, nice bathrooms. Average breakfast. Hotel is downtown, not a great view from our room as we were right next to a tall building. We slept great and it was quiet!

Finding out we had to pay for valet parking AFTER we booked the room was disappointing. Also, 4 employees came and took over the breakfast area so we had to wait for them to finish before we got to the pancake maker.
Our room had everything we needed and was very quiet.

The AC was set on freezing and you could not control it. So we had to use heaters and extra blankets in August. They said it was a failure in the AC and that it wouks fix itself. It dis not.
The location is amazing. The city is easily walkable and there are plenty of parking options around.

Elevator was broken when we first arrived. Had to climb up 7 flights of stairs to our room, 4 times! Since we had so much luggage. They did get it fixed within a couple of hours after we checked in. Breakfast bar was not stocked well and messy. Did not like having to share a microwave, wish there was one in our room. The microwave was filthy! I ended up cleaning it out before using it.
Comfortable bed, nice lobby and nice staff. The valet guys were amazing! Like the shampoo, conditioner, soap and body lotion pumps in the room!
