When you’re at Tuscan Springs, it feels like you’re in Tuscany, Italy. The rooms are not very big, although one of our rooms had a patio, which really was wonderful. The hot tubs and mineral pools were exceptional. The breakfast was really good, and Camellia is absolutely fantastic. We would definitely go back. Also, very convenient location to Joshua tree, Palm Springs, Palm Desert. Really a wonderful place to stay.

That we didn’t have more time to stay there

Upon arrival, we were shocked to view the overall condition of the property. It was rundown, dirty and completely unkept. The reception area was so dark and after having seen the rest of the property we understood why. Our room was also very dark, poorly lit but appeared to be clean (as well as the bathroom). We were provided with 2 Spa towels which were very thin and threadbare. The robes that were provided had to be from Roman times. We were booked for 3 nights, non-refundable, but after one night on an uncomfortable bed, we had had enough. I approached the owner to advise her of the issues and that we were checking out. When I explained why, she listened, but I could tell from her body language that she didn’t care. I inquired if a partial refund was possible, but she stated that since we booked through a third party(Booking.com),she could not do so. That was a convenient excuse as she gets her money, less commission, and she could have done something. We took the loss and went to a hotel. This facility has been under this ownership for 31 years and it’s obvious that little has been spent on maintenance and improvements. Perhaps Booking.com can intercede and refund a portion of our money?…please respond.

This hotel spa was a hidden gem. Both Hot and cold thermal springs. Hotel has a long history from the 50’s and the new owners have created an Oasis in Desert Hot Springs. Very nice self serve Breakfast included and rooms were quiet and comfortable. Will definitely stay here again.

I absolutely loved this gem of a hotel! The pools were so nice, especially on a warm day. It was very quiet at the property for the entirety of my 4 night stay. I could not hear a single noise while I was in my room, which I feel like is rare for hotels. My room was spotless. The free breakfast was quite nice, although it starts late (0830) so I wasn’t able to enjoy it most days as I was up early for trail running every morning. I would absolutely stay here again and could not recommend it more!

There is not much to walk to around the hotel. I had a car so it was fine (there are grocery stores and some restaurants within 5 min), but just be aware it’s not in a walkable neighborhood!

Beautiful tile work throughout the property. Kitchenette nice when staying for multiple days. Mineral pools and spa were enjoyable. We used them frequently.

It would be nice to have breakfast available a little earlier.

A great place to relax and the hot pools were wonderful. Access to them 24/7 was unexpected and appreciated. We loved how quiet the place was and being able to bring and prepare our own food in the mini kitchen. The bed was huge and extremely comfortable.

Beware, the minerals in the hot springs pools turned the white parts of my costume green. Maybe a sign warning that this is a possibility would be a good idea.

Lovely, tranquil, charming, safe. Comforter was so cozy. The pool was so warm in February, and the two spas were hot and well maintained. Other guests were friendly. Kitchenette in the room was useful.

The Hot Springs fed Hot Tub and pool were the main attractions, the room was a good size and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was included and plenty of sunny or shaded spots were available around the pool. The large day beds were great for a relaxing afternoon around the pool.

The room where the breakfast buffet is available is a bit cramped, especially if several guests are trying to get served at the same time. Also, while the views from the pool area are great, a small garden area of scrub is visible with junk and rubbish lying around. A clean and spruce up here would be a great improvement.

There was fresh coffee and orange juice. The avocados were a plus!

The tea selection was very sparse. Not many vegan/gluten free options for breakfast.
