Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Rooms are small but adequate. Some basic upgrades would be helpful.
The 24hour cafe was the best part. Good food, decent prices, very convenient.

The room was hot and the air con very noisy. Outside our window was the extractor for the kitchen. However all better than the reviews we had read.

Coffee facilities in the room would have been a bonus.
Although not included, the breakfast was very good. The hotel was well sited for the town, very convenient. Restaurant attached was very good with plenty of food choices. Room and bed were comfortable.

The hotel and Cafe were dated. Both need upgrading. Even a fresh coat of paint would go far.
The room was very clean. The breakfast (the only meal I ate there) in the restaurant was very good.

There were no amenities like soap, shampoo. In addition the wifi did not work.
Excellent hotel, staff and on site restaurant, which was wonderful. Very clean but no amenities like soap, etc. However due to serious circumstances we were given late check out, which was greatly appreciated.

Thee room was quite small. For two people it was a little uncomfortable. The beds were uncomfortable. The heating/cooling unit was very loud. Couldn't talk while it was running.
The rooms were clean. The staff was friendly and attentive to our needs. Food in restaurant was good. Hotel was centrally located to other businesses

Nothing bad, though perhaps a bit expensive for what you get. Then again, Alaska has never exactly been a budget destination… ;-)

The cafe and bar being on site were really good and the hotel is in a good location. We had a slight issue booking in where the rooms I had booked through booking.com weren’t available but it was sorted out.

The place, to me, seemed like staying in a summer camp. Once I got used to it, it was fine. The decor was worn down, the Direct TV box screeched and had to be unplugged. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was functional. I was just expecting something a little more upgraded, but it all worked and did what it was supposed to do.
The cafe is wonderful. I've eaten there many many times when in town. The food is good, service is good, helpings are large, atmosphere is friendly.

Room was cold at 60F, had to crawl on my hands and knees to figure out how to plug in the wall heater. Shower did not work, only the tap, despite our best efforts, so we couldn't have a shower. Fridge was way too cold and froze all our food, so some had to be thrown out, and a water bottle cracked. Curtains were not long enough to block out light. A blanket on the bed would be nice since the room was so cold. I don't usually complain, but a lot of things weren't right. The front desk wrote some of it down when we checked out, but didn't apologize, only said they'd have someone check it out.
Room was clean, price was good. Water pressure was very good. Bed was comfortable.

Everything was great. The evening waitress in the bar section of the Restaurant is a bit too efficient! You better drink fast and eat quickly otherwise your glass or plate is in her hands and headed to the dishwasher !
Breakfast is very good here! Great hotcakes !
