Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. United StatesWe had a mishap with the charges. Booking.com charged the rate upon booking. When I arrived to check-in, the front desk clerk charged the same rate plus the $500 damage deposit. I thought this to be strange but they assured me it was fine and I wasn't double-charged. Well, I was (both charges debited; weren't 'pending' anymore). I informed the hotel staff, but they said it was Booking.com's fault and to reach out to them about it. When I contacted Booking.com, they said it was the hotel's fault. Lots of finger-pointing. After I escalated it, it was finally corrected and refunded by the Viceroy. In the end, I'm glad it was rectified, but there was a lot of unnecessary back-and-forth and time spent on this.
Beautiful accommodations right in the heart of Aspen Snowmass. The room had tremendous amenities - full kitchen, hot tub, stand-up shower, large bathroom, front room sitting area, and a great view of the mountains. The staff was friendly overall, particularly the guys in the early AM. I had dinner at the restaurant and it was excellent. They have a diverse menu, including elk and bison.

United StatesSo paying premium dollara for my week in the property, I called 3 weeks in advance of my stay to request the posibility to have a nice view, given that this is not a feature like in other hotles where you can choose the type of view, and obviously you would pay accordingly. So I contacted several people in charge of the rooms, and they told me that they would try their best to help me with my request. One of the persons that I spoke to told me that the week that I was staying was a sold out week, i am part of that sold out clientele, so if there is the mountail view option, it should be a possibility for me that I specifically requested it. When I got to the property, my view as usual was of the parking lot. I tried having them see options but there were none as they were in full capacity. Also, the housekeeping service is aweful. I requested some things at night time and these people are NOT trained accordingly to give the service that a hotel like it is should give. The receptioon people very nice, but they come from Argentina only for the season, so there is no year roundnd personel, and maybe that is one reason why the service is not that solid. Hoping next year I get what I request because if not, I will reach out to a higher hierarchy to express that I am frequent client, not only a one night stand.
I love the property. I have been coming every February for a week for over ten years. So I know the hotel very well. It is excellent located and the sli in ans ski out is compeltely a luxurious amenity, which it is why it is that expensive per night. So paying premium dollars, service should be premium as well. The cheapest night in February in Viceroy Snowmass is more expensive than one of the cheapest “suite” in Burj Al Arab hotel in Dubai.

Room dirty. Viceroy gone downhill since we stayed there five years ago. Some employees couldn’t speak English. Service poor in Toro restaurant, not as attentive to dog. Used to give a leash, dog bowls, beds. Spa super expensive, massage less than average. Ski valet was great, checkin great and valet for car great. Overall viceroy rundown and dirty. ALL workers need to speak English.
