Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesNo frig in the room. The mini bar frig didn't even work. Everything was warm in it. When I asked the front desk, they said they were going to fix it and didn't. There was no nightlight in the bathroom. If you got up in the night, it was hard to see without turning on the lights and waking someone up.
The location is nice. In close walking distance of good restaurants. The rooms are good size and clean and they were really quiet. Our room was right off the elevator, and didn't hear anyone going or coming all night. Valet parking was convenient. Didn't have to worry about finding a parking garage to park in for the night.

AustraliaAn iconic building part of Minnesota history, but I felt it failed on the simple things, such as, there’s no complimentary wifi which in these days is unheard of. Out bedding also had small holes in it, the sheets don’t fit and during the night the mattress is exposed. For an iconic building with its prestigious name the basics failed to deliver.
Great location and the building has fantastic history, complimentary coffee and hot chocolate and a stunning viewing deck.

It’s a beautiful property with a very interesting museum on the top floor. Incredible views of Minneapolis from the observation deck.

United StatesPoor communication between staff was painfully obvious as we were intruded on while relaxing on two separate occasions. The smells can be a bit overwhelming in the foray of the hotel and in the elevators. The finish in the bathrooms was poorly done with bad tile and grout work, the shower door was also not aligned so it made a loud crash noise if let down with too much force.
The bed was comfortable, the window shaders worked great blocking out the light location was excellent, central to many restaurants and sights to see.

United StatesThe lobby is pretty dark, it's a little off-putting. I was told (but did not check) that the front door is locked after a certain time. This is not very convenient.
The hotel is very conveniently located in downtown Minneapolis. It is a very nice building. Rooms are spacious and clean. Proximity to restaurants and cafes is appreciated.

United StatesThe fitted sheet didn’t stay on, so when I fixed it, I noticed lots of human hair on the actual mattress. There weren’t any tissues in the tissue holder and there were some issues with the elevators.
Manny’s is in the same building- yum! Also, The Foshay is centrally located between Target Field and US Bank Stadium. There is a reasonably priced parking ramp across the street and several other restaurants in walking distance.

United StatesA little down at heel. Room was cold and turning up thermostat didn't help. Bedclothes were skimpy. My room phone didn't work & was never fixed. Bedside lights flickered. Still prefer to typical soul sucking business hotel.
Great historic hotel with a super friendly and helpful staff. Excellent location and great bar with fantastic and affordable happy hour. The breakfast restaurant (independently run) also great. Lots of character -- including a great view from the 30th floor observation deck.a

United KingdomThey charged me for internet, despite being a rewards member. (And also, who charges for internet. That's so 2000.) The whole hotel is a little past its best-buy date. It needs a refresh.
The room wasn't huge, but it was comfortably designed. The bathroom is nice, with a large and pleasant shower. The location is convenient, and was perfect for my meetings in the IDS.

United StatesI know it’s an old building so there is nothing you can do, but the water pressure is not great. We also realized that some of the unique light fixtures struggled. The light fixture next to the couch was missed two of the light covers and look tacky because of it. The light fixture in the little dinner room space constantly flickered if you tried to dim it. Also, there is a bar/club on the main floor in the lobby. I love a good bar/club, but when we came back from dinner it was so loud and there was a drunk gal passed out on a couch in the lobby. Just wasn’t the refined space I was expecting.
I loved the location! Right downtown and easy access to everything! We were on the top floor with a suite and it was very nice and cool!
