Nothing to dislike everything was perfect.

The location was perfect to folly beach, downtown Charleston the apartment very easy to find. Lovely neighborhood. Welcome goodies on the countertop. Paul was very responsive to a question we had. Definitely recommend The Gray Heron House. We hope to return in the future.

We loved that there was a separate living room and family room to spread out in as well as an outdoor space to enjoy views of the lake. Perfect location to spend a day surfing and shopping on Folly Beach (5-min away) and enjoying an Outer Banks Film tour and Old City Jail tour in Charleston (just 15-min away)

Outside facilities, decking & patio needed renovation. Disappointing because it was a beautiful spot to relax overlooking creek.

Good location, 5 minutes drive to beach, 20 minutes to downtown Charleston. Right hand side of beach house on residential estate. Recently renovated bathroom & kitchen which was well equipped with many extras. Full cooker & fridge/freezer. Very clean.

I don’t like climbing stairs on the deck

It was nice and plenty of room. Very quiet and close to the beach.

Not a great kitchen but it sufficed for light breakfast cooking. The door to the adjacent apartment is right by the couch so some noise came through from next door but nothing too disruptive.

Great location and very clean. It was perfect for what we needed for a short trip. We spent most of our time out and about. Comfortable beds and huge bathroom.

Very charming home with plenty of space. The view is pretty. We enjoyed having coffee with the birds! Located in a nice neighborhood and an easy drive to the beach and restaurants. House was very clean and cozy.

Washer dryer would have been convenient, but certainly not a deal breaker by any means. Nothing to not like really.

Host Paul is a true gentleman - very responsive yet not meddling at all. The property is only 7 mins away from folly beach and 20 mins from downtown. It's a cozy little home in a quite neighborhood and beside a lake where you can relax with a glass of wine and listen to the birds. HT is within walking distance and is open till 11PM (just in case you run out of wine). It has plenty of off-street parking, perfect for a small family. The home is adorned with lots of nice paintings and southern comfort. The welcome basket was the cherry on top. Don't think, just book. Worth every penny!! PS: Even the neighbors were very friendly and you can actually gaze at stars, which is very rare for us city dwellers.

This stay was great! The house is beautiful and has a great view of all sorts of birds off the back porch. The indoor space is very comfortable and clean. Easy 10-minute drive (in traffic, very fast if no traffic)) to the beach or a 15-minute bike ride! Right across the street from the grocery store and nicely stocked kitchen. TV provided Netflix, AC did its job, and an outdoor shower on the porch to rinse after the beach was a great touch!! We had no complaints, highly recommend it!

Toiletries were used/shared. I luckily brought my own or would have needed to run out and get them. Could not control the temperature. A bit cool at night bring a throw or light weight jacket/pants if you run cold. Steps to upper level need some repair.

Location to what we wanted to do was excellent. Size was great for two people. Cleanliness was good. Host was very good at returning messages. A welcome basket was provided. The lake/pond outside was pretty and relaxing.

Trailer park vibe. Meaning, the home was very clean, with nice hard wood floors and a bathroom skylight that helped warm the body naturally. That skylight and dual sinks were a nice added touch. Unfortunately, the muddy grounds were slightly irritating. A pebble path up to the steps would be helpful. The only truly negative was that it was a trailer home, and it wasn't curb appealing. For the cost, I would have preferred a better outdoor ambience. Can't wait to see the remodel

I really don't think there was anything we didn't like. Neighbors were friendly.

This house was perfect for me and my sisters to get away and recharge. We enjoyed so much we plan to return. Perfect location to either beach or short ride to town.
