The roof top deck on this cabin (siesta) chairs were not comfy so didn’t spend as much time time up there as we did in the other cabin that had more of a enclosed deck with rocking chairs (treehouse) Will request that one specifically next time

You cook your own but they provide wonderful ingredients and checked in during the week to see if we needed more of the local ham, eggs, fresh fruit, etc

The only downfall was that they didn't supply you with a ironing board or iron.

We went there in hope of relaxing. And we did just that. As you enter the property you are created by the Texas Hill County which is a amazing view. We rented the Milkey Way cabin with a observation deck on top of the cabin. We were able to watch the beautiful Texas sunsets. The best part happens at dusk when the deer come looking for food. They gave you food to feed the deer so you can get great pictures or just see nature for what it is just beautiful. We are planning to come visit often.

I honestly thought the TV could be updated into a smart TV. The TV's now a days aren't expensive like they used to be.

The only thing I can say is the mattress was challenging, but that's not a big deal. Not something I would write a complaint about. The experience exceeded our expectations in every way.

Everything we could have needed was available to us either in the room or from the hosts. Directions, calendars, events were available to see the area. I loved snuggling in the warm robe on the balcony in the chilly morning. Breakfast was thoughtful and yummy.

Beautiful nature, wildlife around and amazing hosts who made us feel welcomed and at home. Special thanks to Carl and Rhonda for showing animals to our little one. Starry sky at night and the sunrise are gorgeous. Wish we could stay longer!

Nothing really, the bed was a little bit hard, but we like a softer bed than some people.

I did not have any complaints for our stay or our cabin.

I was so happy with the cabin, the view and the breakfast that was provided for us. It was so wonderful to see deer so close and feed them, to feed the cows on site and the quietness was wonderful. The bed was comfortable, the cabin had air conditioning and the lack of T-Mobile cell service was perfect! I'm thankful for the UBER business card that was there and other useful information.

Walnut Creek Cabins is a quiet and peaceful place that is a great place to get away but is still a quick drive to Fredericksburg. It was also close to Old Tunnel State Park.

Secluded, beautiful views, relaxing. Carl and Rhonda were wonderful hosts. Cabin was exceptionally clean, comfortable and well stocked. Breakfast was delicious, wish our little getaway could have lasted a little longer.

Awesome location, very tranquil. Lots of nature. Our hosts Carl and Rhonda were very attentive and inviting especially when it came to entertaining our 9 year old. The loft in our cabin absolutely made the 9 year old’s trip. They knocked it out of the park. We highly recommend this location for a relaxing family trip.
