Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaIt’s a little run down. They have done a good job trying to update the place (we stayed in the motel part) but it’s a lot of maintenance for all the buildings. The grounds are a bit unkempt.
It was a unique setup with several buildings grouped together. Not a standard hotel. Good breakfast.

United States of AmericaThe property needs to be updated and the room smelled a little musty. Breakfast could be warmer.
The staff was super nice. The location is close to the main shopping area and you can just walk to a lot of things. The pool was nice and the pool towels were a nice size. The property also has nice views of the river.

United States of AmericaThe parking is a hot mess express - there are not enough parking spots for the amount of rooms when the motel up front is also busy but we made it work, otherwise no complaints.
Beautiful 1904 house with a rich history, breakfast was great. Janes escape was clean and comfy, staff was kind and quick to get us checked in and help. I liked that it was near things to do and in walking distance but quiet and semi remote.

United States of AmericaThere were updates that needed to happen, such as holes in drywall and it could have been cleaned better- the shower curtain was a bit moldy. The ‘Motel’ portion of the property looked rundown and a bit sketchy. Upon arrival we were very concerned that this would be where our reservation was and would have ended up booking somewhere else last minute if this was the case. The house had a smell that seemed like overpowering air fresheners, we wondered if at one time smoking was allowed in the house and they were trying to cover up a lingering scent. There was no iron accessible and I would recommend a mini fridge be put into the rooms. If/when things are updated in the house it will be a hidden gem.
We stayed in the bed and breakfast (house) facility. It was a quaint facility. The house was quiet, room was a little small but perfect for a couple. This property was within easy walking distance to downtown (maybe 2 minute walk). Workers were accessible when needed, and left us alone which was something we appreciated. The bed was extremely comfortable. Sheets and large objects and floor were clean.

We would stay at the Sherman Inn again. The view from the Dell View room was beautiful. The room was clean and very comfortable. We liked the decor and history of the house. And we loved the location of the White Rose Inn as it was great to be able to walk to walk downtown. The pool was refreshing and quiet.

United States of AmericaI didn’t like how dated the house we stayed at was (Terrace Hill). It needs some serious renovation, and not just paint. The ceiling of our room (French Country) had visible cracks, the bathroom needs an upgrade badly.
I liked the convenient location. Walking to main street, plenty of good restaurants and shops. At the same time - quiet and safe.

United States of AmericaThe property is being renovated on the outside & it looked like it was recently renovated on the inside as well, but it was sloppy, lots of unfinished corners, the bathroom tile is very dated. The bathtub is probably 5x2ft very narrow & short. It would be hard for a bigger person to shower comfortably. The floor could use a wet mop. The paint on the patio floors was peeling, I'm sure they'll get it fixed eventually. No dressers in the room, just a folding luggage stand & metal clothing rack outside the bathroom, no hooks or shelves in the bathroom to hang your clothes. The pictures on the web were a little deceiving, but due to the nice hosts & the positives I listed, I might consider staying here next time.
The 2 Brothers Max & Bol were pleasant & fixed the microwave & fridge that was plugged in but not working & they also fixed the bathroom door that wouldn't close within few hours of me bringing it to their attention. The bed was clean & comfy, the A/C was working properly, the decor was neutral, I liked the USB connection in the lamps, mini fridge & microwave was new & clean. Room had coffee pot, comfortable sofa, good continental breakfast buffet with bread, cereal, fresh waffles, scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, hash browns, coffee, OJ, apple juice, cookies & hot water for tea, The view of the river from behind the inn is beautiful. Nice pool, like the quaint cottage feel of the buildings. Walking distance to the main drag, lots of restaurants & attractions close by.
