We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

United StatesTried to report a rip in the couch so we wouldn't be charged for it. We were told that the property manager would get back to us. We never heard anything from her. We also had a maintenance man that came to replace a glass table top & asked if we were notified that he would be coming. We said no & he said they were supposed to let us know. That being said, they were minor incidents to us compared to the AMAZING time we had there as we celebrated our 20th Anniversary!

Loved the location and layout. Free chairs and umbrella on beach. Nice private beach.

United StatesWe were VERY upset to find out our unit was on the 3rd floor, when the pics on my confirmation are of a first floor unit. The details didn't note balcony. This is completely deceptive and we will NEVER book with booking.com again. The pics were of an entirely different unit. Our unit had a dirty microwave with food stuck in it, chips under the couch (we noticed when we moved to pull-out the couch to sleep) and multiple palmetto bugs found during the week. GROSS. The unit itself needs updating and TLC. The screen doors to the balcany were not on the track, and didn't even fit the doors! The towel bar fell apart when hanging a towel on it from the shower. Just overall very old and run down. We will never book this again. Beware. When we contacted the property manager (VACASA) to ask for a partial refund for the deceptive pics/details, they said it's not their fault and to contact Booking.com for a refund. If you've seen reviews about Booking.com, located in the Netherlands, good luck getting a response. Way overpriced for what we got, but we made the best of our vacation.
The property was located close to the beach and the beds were comfortable. The unit had most kitchen appliances/dishes needed for our stay.
