I feel the hotel should have better security. I often notice men sitting in the parking lot, and the smell of marijuana is common around the property. Anyone can walk into the lobby and access the elevators without being checked, which makes it feel unsafe—especially when traveling alone.

No iron, or hair dryer and utensil for nothing. The beds could be better, the bathtub had a a hole in it, the water was barely coming from the sink and during my 10 nights stay they didn’t manage to fix anything. The staff was new and in training, and the checkout process is not transparent enough. At checkout there was no staff at the desk, only a box saying drop your keys here, which I did.I got charged extra for not checking out with a staff member. The main doors to the property were broken, so coming in or going out with a bell cart was a whole challenge

The price was great and so was the staff. The property was also nice and felt new. The rooms are large and well spacious.

This is an excellent example of getting what you pay for. The hotel is relatively new and still fresh; the room and public areas were clean; the laundry facility and vending machines were modern and functional; the front desk staff were friendly. The room includes a kitchenette, but there were no dishes, cutlery, or any other kitchen tools. There's a place to hang your clothes, but no hangers. The room was almost barren of decor and there was no full-length mirror. The bed is a mattress on a metal spring frame; it's reasonably comfortable, but squeaky and not very supportive. The floors are not carpeted, and you can hear footsteps from the room above. When I requested an iron, ironing board, and hair dryer, I was told there were no hair dryers and given a table-top ironing board with the iron. I was provided two bath towels and two washcloths, but no hand towel, and when I wanted fresh towels I was told to bring the ones in my room to the front desk for the exchange. Had I been paying typical rates for a room with kitchenette I would have been unhappy, but at the very low rate per night it was a very good value and I was quite satisfied.

Very nice and clean, bought noodle soup in vending machine, big kitchen drawer but not 1 single, not even plastic utensils . The shower is plumbed backwards, I finally figured it out, as to why I was getting no hot water in the shower! ( Turn right for hot, normally that's cold). Only 1 very small pillow, should have at least 2 of those!! Bed was hard.

The location was not ideal for accessing downtown via public transportation, which we wanted to use during SXSW. We drove daily to the Lamar Transit Center and took the rapid bus to Republic Square. The showers are set to not exceed luke warm temps. Trust your guests to regulate their own showers for their comfort please! Kitchen sink had nearly zero water pressure, so we had to wash dishes in bathroom sink. A control knob on the stove was never fixed. We provided this information several times, and we hope something will be done for future guests. The filter above stove was dirty, and was replaced immediately after we mentioned this. Overall, the hotel feels a bit more like a hostel than a hotel. The lobby doors were difficult to open both from the interior and exterior... not suitable for disabled not for anyone with baggage. With attention to minor but significant details, the hotel could be more than serviceable.

The price was good for a week's stay in the area, and the staff was very pleasant. If one knows in advance that this is a discount hotel, no frills, and primarily self-service, then it's great. Response to our emails prior to arrival were excellent. Special kudos to Azonte who helped us with some urgent printing needs and was simply delightful.

Towels were not available for over 5 hours which is excessive. Dogs barked for hours on our hall and the guests were out so there was no solution to get them to stop. When towels became available they were gone so fast you could not ask for any extras to have a face towel.

Everything was very clean, the inside and outside just very well maintained. Loved the location because it was quick to get to things with lots of stores in the area to visit if needed!

What I am extremely unhappy about is the fact that I paid my bill in full when I checked in and after I checked out and was hours down the road, my credit card was charged an additional $43. I called and the guy said I had used up all of my room credit and owed the additional $43.00. WHAT?? Buyer beware!

Room was very clean and did not lack a walk off shower bathroom matt like the previous Woodsprings Suites we stayed in. It also had a cutting board in the kitchen which came in very handy. The hall leading to the rooms smelled just a bit initially but by the second day the cleaning staff did a great job vacuuming and eliminating the smell. The staff was kind and thoughtful and they even gave us fresh towels upon request. While the room was slightly smaller than previous property, they added a comfortable chair in the corner which makes it possible for two people to sit without having to lounge on the bed. I also noticed staff taking pride in the property by sweeping up the exterior of leftover cigarette butts or trash. Overall, good experience.

You can only have 2 devices on the WiFi. The kitchenette in the room is unstocked, so if you want to use it you have to bring your own pans and tableware.
