Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesMaintenance of the facilities was less than desirable. Steps needed repairing, gates were worn, paint was peeling in places, and the hot tub didn’t get hot.
Great location, beautiful view from the pool.

United StatesSmall, small, small. The small bed was pushed up against one wall so the only access was from one side. My husband's feet hung off the end of the bed and he is only 5'9". I couldn't access the bed without climbing over him. He took one look around and refused to stay there; he called it "The Monk's Cell" as it was dark and there were no windows toward the fabulous view. Also, the name B&B is misleading; there is no breakfast. Not even coffee or tea.
The Writer's Room was one of 3-4 rentable units at SaddleRock Ranch. The price seemed good on-line. The location of the entire property was great; off the beaten path yet quiet & easy to get to town. One could walk out the door and find the trail to the Airport Trail, which was great - no driving required. This room might be ok for one person who didn't want a view. We didn't end up staying in it; we contacted the owner with the help of Jeffrey, the wonderful on-site person, and transferred to The Red Rock Cabin on the same property for an additional fee. The cabin was up the hill above the main house, MUCH nicer and had a great view. We recommend it! The Main House looked nice also.

United StatesEVERYTHING!
Horrible Hotel!!! Manager did not show up, we could not get into our room. After calling the hotel 6 times we got no response. We were waiting in the parking lot 3 hours and the manager never showed up. We then called booking dot com and they called the hotel at least 6 times with no response. We had dinner reservations and could not even shower or change our clothes. when we came back from dinner, another party had arrived and they were able to contact the manager who said he would be right over to help us get into our room. He never showed, finally he called back the party staying the room next to our and gave them our code to get into the room!!! We then had stranger with access to our room code!!!! You should not even be listing this facility on your site, it is in such disrepair that I actually fell on the broken steps trying to get to the room. This place is worse than Awful!!!

SwedenIt is so overprized, paid 269 dollar for one night. Poorley equipped for example didn’t the room have any table nor inside or outside where we could eat breakfast. I expected more for that prize.

United StatesThe steps were a bit tricky for an older lady to navigate at night.
The view was extraordinary. The Writer's Retreat is a cozy little room, just perfect for the peace and quiet one craves to gather one's thoughts. My visit was during an unexpected cold snap, but the cooler temps were no problem as long as I was snuggled under the covers! The shower has good pressure, which is always a plus in my book. The decor was beautiful, with warm, welcoming colors. The cost was a bit of a shock for a traveller from Arkansas, but I'm told that this is not out of the ordinary for Sedona, and since it is so beautiful (and only two miles from my conference venue!) I think it was money well-spent.

United StatesThe location is awesome, and the property is very nice. You're in the middle of nature, but a mile or so from the main strip
I highly recommend this property! The location is fantastic! It's close to everything. The owner of the property is awesome! If you have any issues she takes immediate action to correct. Again I could not say enough good things about this property and the location. Beautiful sights 360° View and a mile from the main strip, but you can see the stars at night.

United StatesOnly reason it didn't get 10/10 for cleanliness was the ants and bugs that would occasionally get in but it wasn't a bother. The portable AC unit kept the room cool but since it wasn't facing the bed then you definitely needed to use the extra fans provided to circulate the cool air at night to sleep. I tried using the tall standing one but it kept shutting off. The smaller fans probably would've done the trick. Also, the automatic lock took a minute to kick in both coming and going and there were a couple times where I would come in and shut the door, thinking it was shut and thus locked and it would pop open minutes later. That was the only reason it didn't get 10/10 for comfort.
As it happened, I did have a lot of writing to do and the Writer's Room was perfect for that. It was such a cute room with everything you need, I enjoyed it more than most of the places I've lived! Like seriously wouldn't mind living there lol. Didn't utilize the main house/pool but it looked lovely and what a view! The location was ideal and the fact that I could walk right onto the Airport Loop Trail was an added bonus.
