To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

United States of AmericaThe hotel was not clean at all the carpet throughout the whole hotel was musty and filthy in some areas. It looks like it had not been changed or cleaned for years. The elevator floor was sticky with dirt, there were no luggage carts and they couldn't find any, and the staff mostly hid their faces in their cell phones.
The bed was comfortable, the room was OK at most and the price was decent.

United States of AmericaAt first the elevator door wouldn’t open then we get to the hallway on the fourth floor and it’s very hot and smells of stale wet almost like a mildew smell in the carpet. Once we got in the room it was OK. The AC was a little busted up, but it worked.

We had trash piled up after a few days and I even asked a cleaning person if she could at least come and take our trash and she said she'd be back to get it later-- never came back. They never brought us clean towels- nothing. While the flooring was new and good in the rooms, the disgusting old carpeting in the hallways was so gross, and smelled like mold and pee. The beds were not comfortable and we both had aching backs by the end of our stay.
The pool was clean and well maintained. The rooms were nice because there was laminate flooring and no horrible carpeting. The breakfast was better than some since they had a waffle iron and hot scrambled eggs.

United States of AmericaThe carpet leading to the rooms (3rd floor) as you exit the elevator was so dirty. Carpet needs to be replaced or have extreme deep cleaning. Rooms were not bad. Wood flooring (no carpeting). Beds were comfortable! Just the appearance and first impressions were not the best, a turn off and not a good look!
Staff was very friendly, location was ideal for my trip.

United States of AmericaI was there for five nights and not once did anyone refresh my towels or washcloth. I had to go to the desk to ask for a roll of toilet paper. The elevator died while I was there and was not repaired at the time of my checkout so I had to hand carry all of my "stuff" out to my car. It took me five trips to get everything out of my room. I was not happy about that.

CanadaThe elevator was broken and the condition of the hallway carpeting is a disgrace. It took too long to check in and too long to check out but the front desk staff were friendly and efficient. The hotel needs a face lift as it has a tired look except for the rooms. The bathroom tub was stained on the bottom.
My wife and I liked the location as it was near restaurants and a concert theater we attended. The room was fine and comfortable and I liked the staff. The breakfast was good and the price for accommodation was fair.

United States of AmericaAs soon as we arrived, there were 5 people ahead of me to check in. Once I finished, the line behind me was 10. Front desk was severely understaffed. Felt bad for the person who was handling the guests and the incoming phone calls. Huge inconvenience when you have to wait 30 min or more to check in. Also, there was no hot water. And when we were leaving the room, checking out, other guests joining us in the elevator complained about waking up to cold showers. One waffle station for all the guests to fight over.
The location was excellent, the staff was friendly and professional.

Wanted to check out early, but didn't want to waste the money . Would not stay there again. Rooms are decent, but building is old and definitely needs some TLC. We have stayed here several times and it has gone a bit down hill. Disappointing.

United States of AmericaThe redesigned room was inconvenient. For instance only bedside accessible electric plug which was out of reach for tiny unusable desk. Terrible for working.
TV didn’t work for two out of two nights even though I reported it twice. No staff (only person on duty at front desk) at night to help. Carry bags from lobby level down to 1st floor to get elevator to 2nd floor… serious design flaw to not have elevator in lobby level. Bath tub old, dingy with rusting metal. Recessed lighting has tiny penny sized switch mounted on bedside… practically invisible and on one side only. No lighting to enter the room. Breakfast consistant with other “free” hôtel breakfasts but server very kind. I will not return.
