A heads up on the property renovation would be a good idea as it is a little off-putting upon arrival. It posed no problems whatsoever during our stay, but it did give us pause when we got there.

Very comfortable bed & spacious room with cute balcony for relaxing outside. Location is walking distance to downtown area for easy access to shops & restaurants. Room was clean with nice coffee set-up. Front desk service was very friendly &welcoming. We would definitely stay here again. Renovations are being done to the property, however it did not affect our stay in any way.

The front door coming in from the patio was a little sticky.

The staff was amazing and helpful when needed. It is only a few blocks from down town. We had this amazing layout with 2 separate little bedroom nooks and the bathroom in between. You also had 2 entrenched and a patio which was amazing

Says pet friendly but more like pet tolerant. Break one of the 10 rules and risk being asked to leave or pay a fine.

Toilet seat height was meant for a child. Could barely fit hand under bathroom faucet. Construction in lower (basement) rooms and when asked “clerk” if the workers could turn off the loud music, she said they will be done at 4pm. At 4:10 I asked her again and she said call the owners (after hours phone number). When called, the message says if during working hours, see the front desk. I went down to where the workers were working and asked them to turn off the music and their reply was: sure no problem.

Pillow left behind-I was told they had seen it - then told it wasn't found. This was the only place on our trip my pillow was taken from the car.

Wi-Fi. The comforter was odd. It took 10 minutes to get hot water. But nothing awful!

The Yodeler is a quaint, historic motel on the main drag of Red Lodge, Montana (on the end of the drag, but still walkable). The rooms all feature front and back doors (the locks/keys were a bit difficult to open). The old room was furnished ok, but could use a little more TLC. The bathroom, while we didn't use it, has an in-room steam sauna! This was old time awesomeness and we wish we were staying longer. The check in was nice and accommodating, and the lobby has a coffee machine. The Wi-Fi was really bad and I didn't spend much time on the Internet because of it (but we weren't on this trip for me to work). Out back in parking (we parked our bike right outside our door), there is a bike wash, and room for people towing a trailer to park as well. Our stay was short, but nice, and just minutes from Beartooth Pass (on US 212). While it's a little worn, based on the dumpster out back, there is a lot of work going on to renovate this historic motel while retaining it's historic charm. And, based on the other motels we passed in Red Lodge, couldn't go better than our stay at the Yodeler.

They were repairing water damage to the basement from flood. We didn’t know how f there was mold or odors from damage. The floor felt like it hadn’t had a deep clean in ages. The price was way to high for the quality of the property.

I like that the two queen beds were split into two different rooms, it gave a lot of privacy for both my son and me.
