Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaWe had a little trouble with the thermostat and the tv. Totally not anything major and no reason to bring it up during our stay. We managed just fine.
Great hotel! Really pretty and very comfortable. The location was excellent and the service was outstanding. We've stayed at several 5 star hotels (in Austin and in other cities) and the service at ZaZa was the best we've experienced.

United States of AmericaThe shower would have been better with a bench and a compliment breakfast would have been a nice touch.
Beautifully furnished, very comfortable beds, just a great relaxing stay overall. Loved the shower size, water pressure, and it stayed hot indefinitely!

United States of AmericaAt this category of hotel and at this price point, the staff should be more helpful and watchful for what guests need. Before arriving at ZaZa, we had been staying in the Texas Hill Country for a few days and we had purchased about case of wine to take home. When we drove up to check in at the ZaZa, the first thing the head bellman said to me is that they wouldn’t allow me to take the wine to my room because the hotel did not allow outside alcohol. What?? I wasn’t going to throw a party in my room. But I certainly wasn’t going to leave the wine in the hot car. Ultimately, once I explained the situation, it was fine and we took the wine to the room. But, that was a less-than-welcoming first greeting. I found the rest of the staff not really engaged with guests. For example, when we checked in, the staff didn’t ask if we needed help with finding restaurants or activities in the area. When we would walk out of the hotel, no one asked if we needed a taxi or directions. As it turns out, the hotel has a van to take guests to nearby places but no one ever told us!
This is a beautiful, artsy hotel in a great location. If you can afford it, get a room with a balcony. The room we stayed in was large and very comfortable. It was an easy walk to great restaurants as well as the trail that runs along Lady Bird Lake (Lake Austin).

United States of AmericaThe food at the on site restaurant was mediocre. Cheap bread used on the sandwiches. One of the stalls in the lobby bathroom was left disgusting but I understand you can't help that kind of thing sometimes.
It was a very exceptional property. Gym was great, restaurant on site had great drinks but the food was so-so. Good communication happened with the housekeeping team texting me about when to refresh the room. Location is close to many great restaurants. The sound proofing of the room is great, no outside noise. Cookies available in the afternoon. Bellman asked us if we needed a ride somewhere. Excellent turn down service.

United States of AmericaThe restaurant in the evening for our Friday night reservation was sorta a bust. But luckily we went back Sunday afternoon for lunch and sat outside and it was lovely.
Everything was so incredible, the staff went out of their way and were so helpful and friendly. I would stay here a million times over if I could. Literally the best location and we easily walked and navigated the area. The spa was fantastic and relaxing, the pool was fun I enjoyed the restaurant during the afternoon.

United States of AmericaNot many food options on the property itself, room service closes overnight and for the price of hotel would kind of expect to have more late night food options for hungry travelers.
pool area and bars and restaurants were all fantastic. staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Location was fantastic. Lots of great restaurants and bars to visit near the location. Rooms were very well designed with beautiful artwork all throughout. Prices for the most part were very reasonable based on the quality of the property and the product. 7th floor bar/restaurant area seemed to be a fairly happening location for locals as well as for visitors.

United KingdomCocktails at the bar were rather pricey relative to nearby options.
Very comfortable bed/pillows, best in class actually. Very good menu catering to a broad range of tastes. Food at all times was tasty, fresh and well prepared. Service was exemplary. Really liked the availability of morning tea/coffee outside the lifts so we could delay breakfast until brunch.

United States of AmericaNothing really! Wish they had a hot tub as it was too cold to enjoy the pool.
Such a unique, artfully, uniquely Texas decorated hotel. Absolutely loved the vibe, location, snacks/drinks offered AND the free transportation offered around town (especially to and from our concert venue)… made the night so much more enjoyable and safe not having to worry about getting a Lyft or Uber! Beds were so comfy and the best pizza in town is right across the street (DeSano) for a late night snack!

United States of AmericaIt was a little noisy in the morning but that is because we were downtown and work starts in the morning by some crews. So it was not unusual.
The art work was very unique, everyone that helped us were nice and welcoming. The restaurant was good, and the view of downtown was cool.
