Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. AustraliaBed was very soft and pillows were rather old. Bathroom door is incredibly noisey when opening/shutting as glass pane within frame is loose and could easily shatter on hotel guests. Nearby tattoo parlour plays loud music to early hours (unsure if normal occurrence or due to Halloween), either way bass could be heard through to early hours of morning.

United StatesThe breakfast was very basic, and the coffee had an odd flavour. It is not the hotels fault, of course, but the gentrification of the area into pedestrian walkways is set back by the huge amounts of ugly graffitti over everything - but graffitti seems to be everywhere we went throughout Montevideol
It was clean and economical, and close to the ferry terminal for easy access. It is also within walking distance of the main Indepenance square and has good bus connection to the rest of the city and the beaches.

PortugalNo microwave or tea/coffee maker in the room, but there was a fridge. TV was wobbly and did not work. When you complain, the corrective work is either superficial, or you are ignored. The colourful bottles in the breakfast area are empty, used for decorative purposes, but can mislead those who like a drink into thinking that a bar operates there. The buffet breakfast was a good touch, but remember that Uruguay is relatively expensive in Latin America and so the variety on offer is limited.
The location is in an area considered less safe by the locals, but is near all the government buildings and lawyers or notaries. It is at the busier end of the road called 'Cerrito'. Supermarkets and shops are on the doorstep.
