The location is fantastic. Jose Ignacio is a beautiful spot which is quiet elegant and pleasant, and Casa Suaya is removed by a few miles north. It has access to the beach just by crossing the road, and what beach it is! Ideal for a relaxing, comfortable stay. Casa Suaya has excellent staff, all nice. The chef Maxi is something else, truly hospitable.

    Nothing we did not like.

Lovely location right opposite the beach. The tools are very spacious with fantastic views. The restaurant is small but the food Max creates is really delicious. All the staff are delightful.

The whole place is a little tired and could do with some money spending on it. Tiles missing from the swimming pools , some furniture is worn .

    The room.

It feels unkind to be honest because the staff were friendly and willing although completely amateur. Not their fault - bad management and lack of direction. The food was poor. You need a car/taxi to get anywhere. But overall this was a rip off. Far more expensive than anywhere we stayed and (room aside) anything but a luxury hotel.

Sergio was an incredible host doing his best to make us feel at home. Also, helps us indicating restaurants and helping us with an unexpected transfer to Montevideo

very nice hotel in good location across from the beach. our room was upgraded which was very nice. Sergio was pleasant and helpful.

we thought the breakfast was a little poor. would have expected some form of cooked breakfast at this calibre hotel.

Location -- right on the beach and a comfortable walk into Jose Ignacio and La Huela (great restaurant! great people watching!). Staff -- loved the welcoming committee of property staff, hanging out and drinking mate. A very friendly experience. Pool -- very nice and clean and great little cabana's for sun protection. Restaurant -- Have Max make you pizza, and enjoy his breakfast. He makes everything himself and everything is delicious!

Some maintenance could be improved. The door handle to our room fell off and had to deal with that, which resulted in a fix, but the fix didn't stick, so it had to be re-fixed. They did fix it, so it was fine, just not really what I wanted to be dealing with, the room unlockable and not able to leave while it was being fixed. I also think it is at a premium price, but not sure pricing around the area so it could be exactly in line.

Casa Suaya was an amazing surprise. Firstly because the location is excellent, close enough to José Ignácio’s downtown, and “far” enough to feel “disconnected”. The facilities and the room are also awesome and the best of it was the efficient and very amicable presence of Sérgio and Santiago, who make the stay even more comfortable. I wish I come back soon.
