What an amazing place. We couldn't have wished for more. The room was special and our host was just amazing. If your going stay anywhere look this place up. Its a perfect location and its such a peaceful place to be. Amazing stay.

Easy walking distance to everything we came to see. The apartment has lots of charm and we were very comfortable staying three nights. Our host was the highlight of our visit. Fred was like an old friend with many helpful ideas on what to do and where to go even after leaving Colonia. He was very welcoming. And an artist with beautiful style.

It's like stepping into the owners soul here. Being surrounded by his rich history. Absolutely 💯 from me Thank you Fred

Lovely stay🥰 Lovely host! The host Fred gives information in advance how to find the location. what to do there in the neighbourhood. The accommodation is spacious, quiet and full of inspiration

Charming, spacious eclectic apartment with lovely artistic touches. Owner is an artist and there are lots of paintings and books on art.

Fantastic central locatIon… The little apartment with its colourful mix of decorations reminded us strongly of a cabin we stayed at in Namibia overlooking a hippo filled river. This analogy was helped by the outlook onto a wonderful tropical wall of green vines and bamboo.

If I had expected our Colonia stay to be in a cabin, all might have been well. But the description of the “garden view” apartment with executive lounge, drying spaces etc. gave me a different expectation. The quirky apartment looks great but is cramped. There is one chair at a tiny desk, 2 stools for eating at the counter, and a single bed that serves as a sofa. As we were leaving Fred said we could have used the main house, but that defeats the self contained description.

Excellent location, just half a block from the main walking street with lots of shops and restaurants. The room was HUGE and more tastefully decorated than my own home! LOL Fred was an amazing host. Great communications from start to finish and quick to answer my questions.

Our host Fred was awesome! Very friendly and helpful. The apartment was very close to the ferry terminal as well as the main street.

Location is great, right in the middle between the bus terminal /ferry terminal and historic area in Colonia.

Very special and unique place with a beautiful garden and lots of art and charm. The house is very well located and only a ten minute walk from the ferry. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Nice décor, beautiful garden and common areas

I got the room out in the garden, roof was a bit noisy at night . Bed a bit uncomfortable.

Excellent location and majestic place - perfect in its simplicity and so interestingly artistic. The hosts were super friendly and helpful. The house brings you close to nature and makes you feel really relaxed and calm. I wish we could stay longer. Highly recommended!

Very stylish and great location. The room was large and very comfortable. Fred was extremely helpful and has a lovely eye for decoration and the kind of details that make you feel right at home. He was flexible and responded fast to any queries we had.

Good location to the ferry and clear instructions sent from Fred regarding check in. Just around the corner from the main street.

Great location for us - short walk into the centro histórico and also a short walk to ferry (and bus) terminal. Quirky place - stylish in an eclectic way. The room was spacious and facilities good (kettle, fridge etc). Great use of recycled materials (which we liked but might not be to everyone’s taste as it gave it a very rustic / unsophisticated feel)

We had an issue with getting in to the property. Not a major issue as we went to a nearby cafe and managed to make contact with Fred. Worth making sure you clearly communicate expected time of arrival to ensure check in is smooth!!
