It has the perfect location. The are by the pool is very nice to chill or get some work done. The bed was very comfy. The communication with the staff was mainly by WhatsApp but it was very informative and effective.

The toilet doors did not close

Overall it was a good stay, I slept well in a comfy bed with curtains and quietness at night. Location was good too, as it was close to the beaches (east and west) as well as food stores, laundry, etc. There was space to park on the street next to the hostel (public parking), and the area felt safe. Most of the staff members were nice and informative and spoke good English.

Some things in the hostel need some maintenance - for example, the window net in our room (which had a lot of holes and we couldn’t open the window because of that due to many mosquitoes), the air conditioning in our room which didn’t work at all despite having the remote control and alerting the staff about it, one of the toilet’s doors which didn’t shut properly, etc.

Smaller, but nice hostel room in a walking distance from a lot of bars and restaurants. Easy and comfortable self check-in procedure that was very well explained beforehand.

extremely tiring checkin process. first you need to checkin online (a very long and tiring process) and then again at arrival. small rooms no breakfast for this price.

Common areas are not bad, but not amazing. It could get a bit noisy at times.

After I booked the room i got a message with a website to pay, however this web site charges an additional 6%. Asked to be canceled. Was told to pay cash on site. In all my travels this was the first time.

Very complicated check- in system. Never got so many messages (mail, WhatsApp) after booking a hostel with instructions what to read, confirm, fill in etc before even getting there. The mandatory payment system didn't work and I wasted a lot of time trying to make it work and let the hostel know. Some staff (not all) were really ignorant/unfriendly. They gave guests the feeling that they were disturbing and annoying when f.e. using the kitchen. Hard to get a "hello" or eye-contact, even a reaction to a question Smiling not common obviously:-) (seems to me like there might be a general working athmosphere problem). It's a pity, since there are many written proverbs and sayings on the wall, claiming fun, good life and vibes and so on...

The location is perfect, one block k from the beach abs near bars and restaurants. The private room was cool, dark at night and quiet so I got a good nights sleep. It is expensive but that’s PdE for you.

They charge $15 for breakfast. I never saw anyone eating it. When I checked out and wanted to leave my bag until 3:30pm they said they charge $10 to store it between 1-5pm. Who does that! I refused to pay and they said they would waive it but honestly it really left a nasty taste. Come on guys, you’re better than that.

Location is excellent — central, but not noisy

Our room smelt of mould. The mattress was lumpy and uncomfortable. The card machine at the property had broken down and we had to pay 6.5% commission to complete our payment via a ‘payment link’
