Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SwitzerlandThe tour we booked was only in vietnamese. We knew it beforehand, they told us. I think it was worth it, because he showed us the attactions around and tried his best to show us around. But it would still be cooler if the guide spoke some english.
Very clean, super nice staff. They organize tours and shuttle, bus tickets etc. for you. No window but we knew that before, so no problem. Ac worked good and was def. necessary. Street food stalls close by.

We spend only quick night on road, waiting for the Mekong boat transfer to Phnom Penh and the hotel met our expectations - it was clean and comfortable, within walking distance (10-15 min) to boat pier. The hotel helped us with reserving boat tickets prior to our trip. Recommended!

AustraliaThere were tiny brown ants on the bench after we left fruit on the bench for an hour and the bed was hard, which some people may like but is not my preference.
The hotel has a great view of the sunset over Núi Sam (Buddhist holy mountain). Chau Doc is a lovely non touristy Vietnamese town and a good launch point for catching the ferry to Cambodia. The ferry stop is a 600m walk from the hotel. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The shower had great pressure and the room was quiet.

ItalyThe bed was a little too tough for me!
The room was big and clean with TV and a mini refrigerator. AC was working well too. The lady at the reception was really nice, her husband took us on a daily trip and they organized everything for us: they picked us up from the hotel very early in the morning to go the Tra Su forest and then dropped us back to the hotel when we were done there. Later he took us to the fish farm, floating village and cham village. After lunch, they picked us up again from the hotel to go to Sam Mountain to visit the pagodas. From there we went to a beautiful spot where we enjoyed the sunset on the rice fields. After that, they took us to a local restaurant to have traditional dinner (which was included in the price of the tour). We really suggest this private tour, very local and you can enjoy also a ride in the countryside and see the beautiful nature nearby Chau Doc!

CanadaThere was no indication that the water provided was an added cost. Fortunately, i suspected it because i was charged in a few other places before there, so i didn’t take any.
Everything went well. There is an elevator. It is a 15 minutes walk from the Victoria Hotel / Hang Chau ferry to Phnom Penh and 5 minutes to the market. There are Vietnamese cuisine restaurants and cafés close-by.

New ZealandAll good for this budget
Fantastic position mid city, but peaceful in our room. Everything worked. Good values in this budget range. Contact through booking.com answered by husband of receptionist, Nghia. He offered us a tour at a good price to do the things we planned for our visit. Private tour was excellent to make use of our time there. Nghia had good local knowledge and great English.
