How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

The furniture was a bit old. The AC was also old and I believe needs replacement as it was noisy when running.
The location of the hotel is right in the old quarter within walking distance to main sights. But at the same time the room was quiet and we never heard any noise from the vibrant streets. The staff was very helpful and showed us main sttactions on the map and how to get there. We also booked a car from the hotel to the airport and it was cheaper what Grab charges. Breakfast was good at another hotel which was just 50m from our. Not a wide selection but enough for a breakfast.

Rooms could do with an update
Nice, comfortable rooms, could do with a bit of an update to the rooms to make them more modern. But overall super handy location, fair prices and superb staff. The staff are really the highlight, they were so friendly and smiley every time we passed through reception.

All good.
Hotel stay was very pleasant. Ms Rose at help desk help us alot on all our arrangements related to hotel, transport, Ha giang tour, Ninh Binh. Strongly recommend this hotel if you not much aware of Vietnam. Thanks Ms Rose, Mr Kent for the hospitality.

The shower sprayed sideways so you had to hold the hose thingie. But the pressure was great which can be a rare thing so all in all, it was brilliant.
The staff were super friendly and helpful and arranged very nice tours for us. Always reaching out to make sure it was going well and that we got back safely.

The room was smaller than expected and the toilet was slightly dirty.
The staff were all very friendly and the hotel Is right in the heart of the old town. We definitely recommend it.

The staff was incredibly friendly and always available to help with anything. All the programs I took to explore Vietnam from North to South were carefully and conveniently arranged by Ms. Rose. I am writing these reviews while I am staying at the Ho Chi Minh hotel. All my trips have been wonderful. Thanks again to the staff hotel

My stay at this hotel was very relaxing. The room was spacious, comfortable, and equipped with all the necessary amenities. The hotel’s location was perfect for exploring the area, with many attractions, restaurants, and shops within walking distance. The staff was very polite and helpful, offering great recommendations for local attractions. The breakfast was tasty with a variety of choices. The location is ideal for sightseeing, with easy access to restaurants and transportation. My room was spotless and very comfortable. The staff went above and beyond to ensure my stay was enjoyable. I particularly loved the breakfast, which offered a wide range of options. A perfect choice for anyone visiting the area! After staying here, I also booked 2 days 1night Ha Long trip here at a very good price. Ms. Rose and Allen also support all questions when you have questions about this city

I really appreciated the little details, like the welcome drink and a handwritten note from the manager Kent. Staff were professional, kind, and always smiling. This hotel truly made my trip memorable. I’ll be back for sure.
