Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomI stayed at this hotel for three nights. The location is convenient for those who want to be near the nightlife, but it is in a small alleyway that can be difficult to find. The staff were polite and professional, and the owner was very helpful at first. When I tried to extend my stay, I was told my room was booked for one night, so I agreed to return the next day for four more nights. However, when I came back, my original room had been given to another guest, and I was moved to a different building. This new room had some maintenance issues, including a weak mattress, blocked AC filters, peeling wallpaper, and noticeable mold, which made it uncomfortable to stay in. The surrounding area is quite lively at night, but some may find it a bit overwhelming. While the owner was very friendly in the beginning, she suddenly became distant and unresponsive for reasons unknown, which made the experience disappointing. Overall, the hotel has potential, but organization, maintenance, and communication could be improved. The staff working there are great, but I would recommend looking at other options for a more reliable stay.

United KingdomI don’t like to write bad things as it could have just been a funny day but there was confusion around the bill I had booked via booking.com but then there where they said additional service fees had to be paid when arrived. However the service wasn’t great so I felt after I shouldn’t have paid the service fee. No toilet roll was given in room. I had to go up and down twice for WiFi as no guidence on how to accesss or passwords. No water not even mini bottles provided…. Even though a service fee was paid…. It would be nice to have the option to pay additional service as I will always pay gladly if good service and care is provided…
Great location it is so close to bui walking street but not nosy as rooms are tucked away. Very authentic feel as it’s down some of the small winding alleys in between the big buildings

PortugalThe matress is super hard, it’s made ou of some sort of plastic and it’s super uncorfotable. The water pressure was not amazing, which is fine, but the hot water wasn’t always working.
All the staff were very nice to us, they even waited until 3 am for our check-in. They also served us breakfast later than usual on the following day so we don’t wake up too early.

IndiaThe dorm was small, cramped, and had an unpleasant odor when I first arrived, possibly due to wet clothes drying. There are no plug points at the bed, so an extension cable is needed. The attached toilet within the dorm lacks privacy and can be noisy when others use it, plus it’s quite small. The price on booking.com might be misleading as the initial displayed amount and the final booking confirmation amounts are different.
The owner of the property is truly amazing—honest, helpful, and genuinely kind. She went above and beyond to assist with booking activities, and I had a great experience on the trips to the Mekong Delta and Cu Chi Tunnels, which were the most affordable options available. The laundry service was excellent as well. I wish her the best in all her future endeavors.

New ZealandThe room was satisfactory, but the staircase leading to it felt a bit unsafe. The hotel is situated in an alley, blending seamlessly with the surrounding area. Despite this, I enjoyed the unique alleyway atmosphere, which added to the overall experience. It's definitely worth the money!
The property is ideally located near major attractions, offering easy access to must-visit spots. The staff is warm and accommodating—be sure to ask Kim for top recommendations on attractions and the best places to enjoy delicious meals.

GermanyI had to pay double of what was shown on booking. On booking it said it's around 70.000 pee night but then you had to pay double that for 1 night for "service charge" which is ridiculous because the room was so small you couldn't even walk in there properly. The bathroom was really small and always smelled really bad. The fixture for the shower was broken so you had to hold the shower had the whole time when you were showering. The guys working there stayed in the same dorm room and were overall really noisy. Although they were really nice they snored, had alarms going of for ages early in the morning buy sleeping through them so me and other roommates had to get up and wake them up multiple times. They were in the room watching videos on their phone on full Volume or were on calls, even got up in the middle of the night to go to the toilet with the door left OPEN! (The rooms are so small wirh the bathroom inside you can hear everything) they were also talking really loudly early in the morning when they were getting up waking me up. Never had the chance to sleep longer then 7 in the morning because they just didn't care about the people staying there. There were also cokroaches in the room.
The Location was great. It's in a small alley way so it's nice and quiet but when you walk out of the Alley it's really busy and you have everything pretty close by.

CroatiaHostel is very hard to find, no sign on the street, you need to follow Google maps. Bed is not uncomfortable but its basically pillows and a duvet on a palette. Water dripping in the sink. Cleaning service almost non existing, I needed to ask for towels, toilet paper and one day, cleaning guy knock on my door at 10 pm! Can't buy water on the "reception" Stairs super narrow and steep but thankfully stuff helped with my suitcase
It's ok for a short stay but definitely overpriced.

GermanyMost importantly: The bathroom unfortunately became more and more disfunctional. On our second day, water started dripping from the ceiling right over the toilet, making it quite uncomfortable to use, further, we had no more warm water in the shower. On the last day/the next morning, we did not have any water at all! Without running water, even the very affordable price of the hostel becomes too high… It is very easy to get lost in the maze of tiny alleyways on the way to the hostel. Simple room, AC works fine, but over the day the climate in the room could turn a bit weird and moist.
Super friendly and helpful staff! Great central location, very close to Bui Vien Walking Street, Ben Thanh Market…

AustraliaMy bed was rock hard, the sink didn’t have a trap on it so I had to put a wet sock over the drain to stop the sewer smell coming through. The aircon remote worked when it wanted to.
Staff were really helpful and very accommodating. It’s also nice and close to walking street but hidden away enough so that you don’t hear the noise.

United KingdomThe room was located on top floor with stairs that were super dangerous and we were scared to walk up and down incase we fall. Bed had some weird plastic on it which made it loud to sleep on.
So this was a different experience. The hotel itself was located in a tiny alleyway maze so hard to find. As there was no more rooms available in that hotel we were taken to a property next door which was a gate locked by a bike lock. The room itself was spacious and clean, with a small balcony.
