How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The girls room was in the 7th floor and the lift is a bit slow. That's the only douwnside. But even then it dosnt really matter.
One of the best hostels I've ever stayed at. Clean rooms, good priced tours, the best breakfast I've had in a hostel, very attentive and responsive staff. I loved my stay here,if I come back to hanoi,I'll stay here again.

It would have been great to have a drinking water dispenser all day.
Great place, the breakfast was very good, there were spacious lockers and the bunk beds were nice and stable - I never noticed any movements of the person sleeping in the top bunk.

The shower is full of steam and need to be ventilate better
Locker are very usefull and the personal space in tje room was bigger then expected. The place itself has good vibes and it was a good first time in shared room hostel.

Breakfast Could have been more different. I dont eat gluten and i dont like eggs. So it was rice, fruit or potatoe wedges. And there was some mould in the shower and dirty bed sheets.
The adres in the old centre was perfect. Also the big private room was very nice. But the scenic view from the room was the best

What is there not to like? Location - Most happening street, train street and lake at walking distance Property - Great common room, rooms are also very clean and bed is comfortable Best part is the free and delicious breakfast and free beer in the evening

The cleaning would clean the room daily at 10:00, they made a shit ton of noise, talking loudly, laughing and sometimes screaming even not caring that there were people still sleeping in the room!! This happened daily!! Every single morning i would have to tell them to please be quite as some people want to sleep past 10:00 god forbid
amazing hostel, clean rooms with showers inside the room which is great, the staff were also so accommodating and helpful! The location was perfect, right next to beer street but not too much noise

Just be mindful with the shower, it’s a nice cool temperature (for the steaming heat of Hanoi), but if you want hot water, there’s a switch outside the bathroom and it’s boiling water. It takes about 5mins for the water to heat up/cool down
Very friendly staff. You can book tours thru them like Ha Long, Sa Pa, Hi Giang loop. They have a free walking tour which is FANTASTIC. The local volunteer Lunar is super friendly, knowledgeable and funny! Make sure you do this walking tour. Comfy mattress, shelves in bed, lamp. Large locker. The jacuzzi was nice and cool

We booked a 6 mixed dorm type. We’re group of 5 and didn’t expect that we have a private room which super convenient. The hostel is in good location. The breakfast is a plus. The room and the beds are very clean. We also have a balcony that we can view the streets. There’s also an atm machine at this property.

When you shower, water tends to leak over bathroom floor so takes a while to dry.
Staff at reception were incredibly friendly and helped with laundry/changing to female dorms/day tours. Great breakfast buffet with hot pancakes and eggs. I stayed in mixed dorm and female dorms. the free walking tour was fantastic - met other solo travellers and 3 hours with a knowledgeable guide. Great social environment!
