Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

JordanThe only negative comment is about the permenantly closed room window as that caused bad ventilation and would trigger allergies and raspatory discomfort.
Everything was great and as many colleagues argued the it's the best hotel in Hanoi, from staff to facilities, location and food, would highly recommend.

SingaporeThe staff was often rude and arrogant. It felt like every move was being watched and we were constantly told we could not sit or stand in certain spots or eat in certain areas. Check in and check out took a long time. As an adult, it felt like I was being policed like a child the entire time.

MyanmarI ate chicken Pho every morning, which is very delicious. However, It would be great if more varieties of Vietnamese traditional food. are available for breakfast. I stayed in a room with a pool and lake view, which is very beautiful and quiet during weekdays. However, on Saturday morning, the pool party started at 8 AM which was very noisy, the sound and ECHO reached up to the 12th floor, so I could not sleep or work. Tnus, I suggest others not to stay in the rooms on that poolside if there will be a pool party.
I gave 5 stars to the location for the traveller coming to UN office for work. It takes less than 10 minutes if you walk to the UN and WHO office from the hotel. There are also two shopping malls just across the road from the hotel, where you can have delicious meal at varieties of restaurants, like Korea, Thai, Japanese, Chinese Food etc. These shopping malls are also good for shopping where you can even get branded shoes and clothes with discounted prices, and also groceries and even luggage. Finally, I will give full star to the services provided by the staff, it is obvious that the staff are well-trained, can communicate in English for essential support, very friendly and always ready to help. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay at Daewoo Hotel during my business travel in Hanoi.

AustraliaMy A/C didn't work well. Updating of furniture & fittings in rooms is overdue.
The location was great for me as I was working at RMIT University, just a 6 minute walk away. But in terms of access to other facilities like restaurants, it was not very convenient. Crossing the enormous roads surrounding the hotel was a nightmare due to the crazy behaviour of motor bike drivers - but that is a fact of life in Vietnam. It's just easier to dodge them on smaller streets. My hotel room was huge, quiet & well appointed, but bu the hotel is rather dated. All staff were exceptionally helpful & attentive. There were 3 restaurants in the hotel but they did not cater well for a vegetarian. I used room service & was able to order some meals that suited me. The coffee shop in the lobby serves fantastic coffee!

United StatesRoom was a bit run down, bed somewhat hard, WiFi was not as strong as it could be (it cut out several times while in online meetings over two days), hallway and room had a musty smell. The hotel is undergoing many renovations so hopefully some of the issues are improved.
Excellent location, friendly attentive staff, amazing gym and pool, excellent room size with plenty of amenities, lots of nearby shopping, restaurants and grocery stores.
