Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The facilities are old. The room and surroundings are very smelly.
Good location in the center, near many restaurants and attractions. They allows late check-in and the staff are nice.

Location very good, old quarter Hanoi. On suite room was basic, however this was reflected in the low price. Room cleanliness was good. Room had a window onto an internal yard. Due to the fact this room was on the inside of the building we had no noise whatsoever. Brilliant. Loud street noise in Hanoi is 24/7. Lady on reception spoke good English and also booked us a well organised trip to Halong Bay. We recommend this hotel.

Luggage storage could be improved. The only option was to keep my bag in the main lobby (not even behind the reception desk). The room was quite small and noisy (however this is to be expected in the area in which it's located).
Room and bathroom were clean! Comfy bed too!

Paintwork was dirty.
Great location, friendly staff, late check i, very short walk to old quarter. Bed was very comfy, lent us a kettle on request so we could make tea. Room needs paining and a new shower head would be good. This is a good hotel for the price and location. Would recommend. Steve and Ginette.

The location is good.. everything is just in walking distance.. It's a bit old property but they are well maintained.. the bed is huge and comfortable..good working aircon. They have everything needed for a comfortable stay for a short period of time.

we had a room at 3rd floor. Maybe it’s not a big deal, but after a day trip, it was kinda difficult to climb the sharp stairs. Furthermore, close to 6 am, the construction work (felt like the same building) has been started. It felt like drilling in our room. impossible to sleep or rest. It wasn’t mentioned about any construction work when checked in.

The room could have a deep cleaning, dust coating the fan, ac and closets. Found lots of hairs and nail clippings on the floor, and fridge leaked water into the room our whole stay.
Great location, very friendly staff good price for a couple nights.

I had to ask for room to be cleaned, they missed cleaning first night. Building is very old, and fairly run down.... But that's what you get with one star.

No lift at hotel, will be a problem if you are weak. Especially if you get a room in 3rd floor like us.
Hotel is in city center which is great. Every major place is almost walkable.

I was given a room at the highest floor. the stairs are steep and very narrow. The lady wearing spectacle who give me the room says that because i booked using Booking.com. The room is at the 4th floor. There were same rooms (twin double) at the 2nd floor and how do i know this because available room the door will be open and there were open till next day when i check out, but she refused to give it to me because according to her if booking thru booking.com the room would be on the 4th floor. The room were too small and not worth the price.
The location is good. Near to anything like cafe, convenience store and restaurant.

Very outdated & in dire need of repairs. Bed was disgusting. Lady at desk a bit rude. Lizard in room. The pictures are probably about 20 years old.
The location was right in the centre of the old quarter.

Property owner lady is very rude. This property needs to be renovate. AC not working, cupboard got damaged , room door is damaged , No room service per day. I had to ask them to clean my room and dustbin. Overall I don’t like this property and it’s staff.
