How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Very lovely friendly helpful host. Easy walk to all the main attractions. A little bit tired and dated but clean There is a lift, so no carrying of bags to upper floors.

The location is great and isn’t noisy. The room is ok, could be more careful in the floor but is okay for one o two nights. The reception could have some forniture for the towels, roll paper, etc and would be more nicer place. The breakfast is ok, you have one choice. The staff is lovely

Unfortunately it was not as clean as I expected from the pictures, the bed sheets had some spots of old dirt that cannot be washed (so no fresh dirt but still). The toilet was also not in the best hygienic conditions and there were some little animals coming in sometimes. Breakfast was also a bit disappointing, but generally it was a nice stay I enjoyed also the fact that the hotel was not perfect :)
The staff was really nice, smiley and attentive. They helped me to book taxis when needed and they were trying their best to help me. The location was also very good!

Pick up from the airport was missed I guess.

We only stayed for a night here and it was good! Location is very central but not noisy, so we could sleep well. Staff are nice, breakfast is a good bonus and we could leave our bags after check out. Thank you!

The rooms are functionnals but a little bit small.
Very good location and the hoste familly is very help full. The place is quite and it s not common in this busy quarter of Hanoï. All convenance around to enjoy the city center.

Great location down a quiet alley so was nice to be able to sleep. We only got breakfast one day (our own fault) as we checked in late the night before and left early on our last night but breakfast was very nice. Staff were also very helpful and arranged a taxi for us to the airport and we could check in later after getting a night bus.

We had a room under the roof and it was quite noisy, also at night (waterpipes or air con or pumps? Don't know what exactly caused this noise). It was pretty cold in the room.
Exceptionally nice stuff, especially Lena who not only welcomed us but was also very helpful in advance of the stay (organizing airport transfer and Halong Bay tour as well as a bus to Ninh Binh) and highly responsive. Location in the middle of the bustling Old Town, with restaurants, shops, and the lake in walking distance. Breakfast was tasty with reasonable number of (Vietnamese and European) options.

Room was very damp initially - like no one had used it in a while and it has been raining here so it’s been humid - took a day of running the A/C and then it was ok.
Location was great. Great self service laundry nearby. Breakfast was good!

The room was clean, the equipment worn. The bathroom would require maintenance. Someone here wrote that it is a quiet accommodation. Yes, but on the first night someone knocked on our door, when my wife was already sleeping and asked about the payment. I did not see that person at the reception. And on the last night, we clearly heard the clothespins long after midnight And couldn ' t sleep

The hotel was nice, clean and comfortable. It was perfectly located not too far from the airport which is perfect when you are in Beijing just for 1 night transit. Moreover the transfer included was very convenient!.
