Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaI booked for a double room which should have had two double beds. However we were only given a room with one double bed plus one roller bed as can be seen in the photos. They didn't even tell me upfront and it was only after checking in that I realised we had been short changed. Hence I have marked down my rating of the hotel.
The hotel is very well located within the Old Quarter with a number of restaurants and cafes on your doorstep. Pleasingly there was very little noise that could be heard from our room on the fourth floor. The breakfast was solid and they provided packed breakfast boxes for anyone needing to leave early in the morning. We were also allowed a late checkout of 3:45pm instead of the standard 12:00pm because my mother was not well and needed to rest as much as possible before making our way to the airport - this was much appreciated.

United StatesWe requested the interconnected room with balcony and window. One room had balcony and the other that was interconnected had to have not much window since it was right behind it. I just felt bad for my travel mates that had to stay there. That was the sacrifice we had to make.
Everything was good including breakfast, cleanliness, staffs, location and price. I really liked my balcony room. It was clean compared to other hotels in Hanoi old quarter. Overall, I have no compliants about the hotels at all. All the staffs were nice.

United StatesNothing, really. Met my expectations for a property of this type (2-3 stars level).
Great location—can’t be beat! Clean rooms and bathrooms, great breakfast! The rooms were quiet and soundproof enough for being in the middle of a city. The staff was very helpful, they assisted us with our airport transfers and a few other questions. They even packed us a takeout bag for breakfast for our early flight.

EgyptThe room felt a tad claustrophobic, only a small window that went out into some kind of inner alley.

AustraliaThe hotel is wonderful. The rooms are comfortable and very nice. The breakfast is amazing. We had booked only one night originally, but we wanted to stay two more nights so we liked the hotel. I would especially like to thank Lucy for her kindness and tourist advice. I would also like to thank Daniel for the beautiful photos he took at breakfast and for his quality service.

SingaporeHot water is only available for a quick shower before it turns cold and you got to wait for a while before it comes back.
Room is clean. Hotel staff is friendly and thoughtful. My booking does not include breakfast but the staff had kindly prepared some breakfast (bread, yoghurt, mineral water, banana and hot egg etc) for me to takeaway for my early morning checkout for my bus journey to Sapa.

BrazilIt was a bit noisy at times and the rooms are smaller than they appear on the photos. But it's still great value for money.
It's a great location in the middle of the old quarter and close to everything. Walking distance to most attractions, including the night market. The staff were very helpful organising tours for us.

LatviaIf booking.com price will be 10-20% lower it will be great value, however still great for busy Hanoi - never know which will be good hotel. Seems all Hanoi hotels has lack of hooks for towels... and shelves for yor things;) Not an issue - just for information.
Good sleep - one of the best in Hanoi ;) comfy bed - at least in room with terrace/balcony? - we bought offered reasonable price upgrade (so no idea about basic room - upgrade was worth the price!). If in mood - hotel is small so when greeting with staff you can feel as in significantly upgraded home stay (in good meaning;) In our room was great new air conditioner - enough powerfull and quiet - not disturbing over-strong blow to the bed - rare thing in hotels. Breakfast good for the Hanoi if not expect luxury.
