Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

ItalyRoom was pretty small and we were not able to close the bathroom window, so heat and mosquitoes could enter easily

United KingdomMy room was situated between the reception desk and the bar. I could not open my curtains because everyone in the bar could see into my room. On the night of my arrival, there was a party in the bar area and it was extremely noisy. It was very unfair to expect a guest to stay in this room unless it was a guest attending the party. The following nights were not as noisy as the party night but still not able to rest until the bar had closed.
All good. Problem with situation of room. Staff really tried hard to ensure I had a pleasant stay.

ItalyPositive: The hostel has an excellent position if you are in Chau Doc to get the speedboat to Cambodia. It's literally 2' walking from the boarding point. The hostel also has a rooftop café which is very nice. I had a private room, it was clean. Negative: The walls are very thin, you can clearly hear what happens in the rooms around yours. But most importantly, my room was FULL of mosquitos. As soon as I checked-in I killed some 6-7 mosquitos. However some new ones kept appearing. I spent only one night there and I must have seen between 10 and 15 mosquitos. My room had no windows, so I was wondering how they kept getting in. Then I noticed one mosquito close to a hole in the wall, so I assumed that's where they came from. Not a huuuge deal, but keep it in mind!

United States- Room a bit on the small side - Windows were frosted so you couldn't see out of them; however there were no curtains so the outside light came in at night, and in the morning it got bright early
- Great central location very close to the river (and the docking point of the boat to/from Phnom Penh), lots of restaurants, etc - Clean rooms - Staff was very helpful and helped us arrange transport to local sights (we even played billiards on the last day!)

VietnamYou need to insert the room card in a sort of plug to activate the light and all but you sometimes need to try a few times before it "clics". Same thing to open the bedroom door with the card.
I stayed in a bedroom, not a dorm but it was very comfortable, clean and good value for money. Everything worked properly, lights, shower, plugs, lock on the door.

AustraliaThis room really was very small! You could just fit a double bed in there. It would be a really tight squeeze for 2 people and luggage.
Great location near the riverfront and departure point for the ferry to Phnom Penh. Lots of food available nearby and there's a large supermarket across the road. Staff are efficient and cheerful. The room and bathroom were spotless.

SwitzerlandWe had three rooms. One of the rooms did not have windows
Good choice for an economic stay for one night before a boat departure to Cambodia. It is a billiard youth place with several rooms attached. The boat departure point is 70-100 meters in a rather expensive hotel, so walkable distance even with luggage, which saves worries and time in the morning to find transportation in this relatively small town. There is a Coop shop next door where you can get snacks for the boat and there is a cafe open in early hours where you can get Vietnamese coffee. The rooms were clean, with coffee/tea/kettle, flowers and air-conditioning. Staff were very friendly and helped to carry our luggage one floor up the stairs (no elevator).

AustraliaWhen booking rooms on booking.com I always book rooms with a window. I’m a bit confused as the details of the room I booked online included a view which I assumed meant a window ( don’t care what the view is just want a window). When shown to my room it was the smallest room I’ve ever seen and no window!! Linh helped me change to a room with a window but I had to pay 100,000d more a night. The upgraded room did have a window but no curtain so very light at night. The upgraded room was also very small. This has been the smallest room but the most I have paid for the 28 days I’ve been in Vietnam
Spotlessly clean, elevator to level 4, excellent location, close to river, ferry, markets, temples/pagodas. A big supermarket next door. Sam Mountain 5kms but easy to get to. Linh at reception very helpful, friendly & very good English

United KingdomThe only thing lacking was a mosquito net, but there were no mosquitoes in my room anyway.. Thin walls but not a problem for me as no noisy neighbours!
Newly fitted and very good, generally clean room; exceptional value; plenty of working sockets; good lighting; comfortable bed; soft squishy pillows; good aircon; even a hairdryer! Good location within 10 mins walk of central market, ATMs, etc and 3 mins walk from Victoria Hotel's excellent restaurant (breakfast available for non guests at perfectly ok price and boat dock for Cambodia.)
