this is not a hostel, a local pension/boarding house for local vietnamese with 3 floors, messy, dirt and bad smell with dirty and smell entrance. hostel is only a small room with 8 dorm beds on 3rd floor was only clean place...

Hostel has a great location, old quarter, right in the heart of Hanoi capital. Clean room, balcony overlooking the night market. Friendly, kind host.

I stayed at this hostel for a night and overall had a decent experience. Pros: The price is very affordable, great for budget travelers. Location is excellent, right in the center of the Old Quarter The lady owner was warm, welcoming, and helpful. Cons: My bed didn’t have a personal reading light, which was a bit inconvenient at night and morning. There was no hair dryer available. Only one shared washroom/toilet for all guests, so it can be a wait during peak hours. The entrance is quite low, tall people might need to duck to avoid hitting their head. If you’re looking for a cheap and centrally located place and don’t mind basic facilities, this hostel could work well.

Bed linen and towels are fresh and clean. The staff is very kind. The bed is wide with a fan.

Perfect location

There is no place in the room for the baggages, and the light outside stays on the whole night, so I couldn't sleap at all.

Owner is nice, helpful, location in old quarter, market, temple, puppet show theater all near 100-200m only, market for shopping, food & nightlife

Hostel on second floor but ok

For the extreme budget traveller, this is your place. Friendly people and great location. No lounge to hang out in. Certainly not for the fancy upscale types. That said, I met very nice people and walked away with a smile on my face.

Super friendly staff, very helpful and kind. The Hostel has everything you need and can accommodate to everything you want, as well as being in an excellent location. However it is a bit run down and dirty but a little expected with its cheap price.

The location is very good & it is affordable. The owners were nice.

The door is locked with a chain at 11pm and the staff did not tell us this- Please be aware of this if you are solo or unable to make calls, we were outside waiting for a while. Very noisy inside - the reception is inside the 14 bed dorm room so expect to be woken up any time someone arrives or leaves. The ceiling lights are directly above the bunk beds, if you are on the top bunk it is extremely bright and very hard to sleep. If you’re travelling far, you probably wont be able to catch up on any sleep during the day. There is one bathroom for everyone which can be a pain. The entrance is a little hard to find and the stairs up the hostel are very steep and uneven - not good for anyone with mobility issues. The shared kitchen is in bad condition. The whole room also shakes whenever anyone walks around and there is a lot of noise from the street in the morning.
