Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

TurkeyThe bed is a bit thin and hard. It might be a bit difficult for those who are not used to it. There is only one toilet and bathroom, but maybe I was lucky and I always found it empty.
Even though the hostel is right in the heart of noisy Bui Vien, there was no noise in the room. The air conditioner cools sufficiently. There are curtains on the beds, each bed has a lamp, a shelf for storing small items, an electrical outlet and a fan. The employees are very kind and helpful in every way. There is a nice balcony where you can smoke or sit and enjoy. On the ground floor there is a washing machine and a well-equipped kitchen.

NetherlandsThere is some sound from the busy street, the beds are a bit wobbly and the bathroom is really small but everything works for the price.
Perfect hostel if you do not want to pay a lot. The price is incredibly low.

FranceNice little place in the small streets of district 1. The hostel is really central and near to the bus agencies, so it's useful. It's also just next to the main night street, but not too noisy. There is lots of food in walking distance, the park and public buses. One dorm room and a shower, a kitchen you can use, and the living room. Nice and cosy.

United StatesComfy bed, personal shelf and fan and power outlets. Good hot water and kitchen for use, location couldn’t be better. Hostess was fantastic and let me wait for hours while waiting for my bus. The only true downside is that it is quite physically small and only one bathroom (toilet +shower connected) for the entire place. And the bathroom is physically narrow, a very large person would have trouble.

VietnamNothing to complain about! With such an affordable price, the service exceeded my expectations.
Breakfast includes sweet bread and coffee (or green tea upon request). The host is friendly, always ready to chat and answer any questions. There are always two housekeeping staff cleaning every morning and evening. The living room features a large sofa and an extra-large TV—I had a great time watching Netflix. The space is quiet, perfect for focusing on work; you can sit at the large kitchen table or relax with a smoke on the balcony. The location is excellent—within walking distance of all the city's attractions.

TurkeyThere was nothing I didn’t like.
The location is right in the heart of Bui Vien Street, yet you can’t hear any noise at all. The kitchen is well-equipped with everything you need to cook your favorite meals from back home. The door is secure and has a coded lock. In the common area, there’s a TV with Netflix and many other digital platforms available. The owner of the hostel is also a very sweet woman. Overall, it’s an excellent place for the price.

NetherlandsCheap, so very basic. There's only one shower/toilet in the same space to share with the whole hostel. It's kind of a small homestay and not a very social hostel to meet people .
Very good location near the central attractions but in a quiet alley. Chill couch to sit on. It's a very cheap option in HCMC and the staff is kind.

North MacedoniaSmall cozy hostel in the heart of Saigon! Four bunkbeds and one private room! Bui Vien is right through the alley and the street above is the major pleace where all busses depart or arrieve in Saigon! The living room is very spacious with 2 big couches and huge HD TV with YouTube Netflix! The AC in the doorm is powerfull, great for sleeping and it's on even thought the day because of the heat! There is a full kitchen, free cold and hot water non stop and I could even wash some of my clothes when they wash the bedding from the check out! There is also a light breakfast in the morning with tea or coffee! Overall great value for money

I like that the hostel is within the private house, so you can feel Vietnamese vibe instead of backpacker vibe. It’s not too big which makes it no too busy. Although it’s in the alley right next to the main pub street there is no sound heard during the night. There is AC in the room

SwedenFilthy. Mold on some parts of the bathroom, dusty here and there. More like a homestay than a hostel, lots of personal belongings everywhere and it felt like living in someones home. Breakfast is very depending on mood of the owner, some day full meal breakfast and other day bread pieces and jam.
Good location and the big bus station in District 1. Bar street nearby but not so noisy during the nights. AC works properly and the beds are ok. Staff is nice.
