How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewThis is one one the best homestay I've ever experienced. You can clearly feel the delta of Mekong vibe, by taking one of the free bike and going around. Thanh, the guide, is incredible: the way she explained to us everything during the tour at the floating market, the local market and the cocoa farm. The owners make us feel at home, the food was great and so fresh. You should really think about coming to Can Tho this is the place to stay, you will love it!

Verified reviewMeals were deliciously, the best and freshest tofu we have tasted! Tanh was knowledgeable and took good care of our family. We did the Mekong Delta floating markets which was the highlight of our trip. Jenny was also warm, friendly and hospitable, helping to book our onward bus trip and any other needs we may have had. Lovely family and we would reccomend to others.

Verified reviewThe bungalow was very cozy and clean with a shaded front porch and hammock. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and there was a small restaurant on site which served delicious food for all meals. They provided different tours in English, we went on 2 tours of the canals and floating markets with Tan who was brilliant. She was fun and knowledgeable, showing us places off the beaten track, tasting food etc. she made the stay really memorable and we were sad we couldn’t stay longer.

Verified reviewWe had an idyllic stay at this property with our family of 4 (kids aged 6 and 9). We made some wonderful friends (other guests) and enjoyed the tours with Tan - a true gem and beacon of hospitality who we will remember fondly. The floating market was a must-do and the small canals tour was also great. Daniel and Jenny have truly created a home-like atmosphere where we always felt welcome. We were often given fresh fruit picked right from the garden - so tasty! I think the sweet spot here would be 3-5 nights to really get the most out of it. Can Tho is a 20 minute taxi away but we skipped the city and just stayed at the property as it was so relaxing. WIFI was good - you could work here if needed. Food and coffee were very nice. Standouts include the lemongrass tofu, pork ribs, BBQ shrimp and sweet & sour squid. If you have a group, order the whole roasted chicken! The menu really can't get any more local as they visit the nearby market daily to prepare your dinner order. The spa services with Windy were affordable and lovely (I have visited many spas and the cupping treatment + hair shampoo were some of the best I have ever had! I would highly recommend to anyone).
The pillows were not our favourite.

The tours we did were amazing and Than was the best tour guide with so much energy and generousity with her time in taking care of us. The food was incredible, every dinner was so delicious! It was truly the most perfect place to getaway and relax, a real break from reality. We loved our time here!

Verified reviewThe location is magical, the real wilderness. The garden is beautifully decorated and has unique plants and fruit trees from a European perspective. You can meet animals, the food is delicious, and the hosts are extremely kind. I took part in two tours, so a special thanks to Becky, who made me feel wonderful all day and we became friends. I highly recommend booking this accommodation if you want to feel like you are in nature among good people.

Verified reviewRural location in the heart of the Mekong delta. Genuinely rustic vibe, Vietnamese huts with palm leaf walls and roof on a wooden frame set amidst canals, ponds and an amazing variety of fruit trees. Mekong tour is a fascinating must-do. Daniel and Jenny are delightful hosts.
It was great, though palm walls and roofs mean the rooms aren’t insect-proof, so beware! A little way from the city so the choice of restaurants and other shopping is limited, but again, it’s obvious when you book.

Verified reviewVery pleasant stay with Daniel, his family, and his team. Warm and relaxed atmosphere. Especially the tours guided by the young and energetic Thanh are real highlights – you couldn’t dream of better company to explore the surroundings. The bungalows are comfortable and peaceful. The roosters crow in the day, and karaoke echoes in the background, springing up from everywhere between the gardens and the canals – it’s the soundtrack of your stay. Highly recommended!

Daniel and Jenny and staff made us feel welcome. Special shout out to Thanh who from the first moment made us feel special. (Hope i spelled name correctly) Dale and Marilyn
Nothing at all to complain about. Oh, except that damn rooster . Ha ha. But then again we were surrounded by working farms.

Her humour, energy, information and care made this place our favourite place and if we came back would stay longer. We loved our boat trip and the time we spent in the markets and the noodle and cocoa factories with her. She made it all such fun. We both enjoyed the best massages ever with Windy back at the Homestay - she is wonderful! The beautiful garden, the peace and tranquility and the people made this a perfect stay for us. Verified reviewWe loved the location the people and the food. We’re already missing our morning coffee with Daniel, Tina and the other lady’s cooking, Wendy’s massages, Thanh’s crazy and witty self, I didn’t catch the guy’s name that took us out on the boat but he’s a good and funny man, and of course beautiful Jenny who helped so much on booking our transportation to them and she gave very valuable information to continue on our journey, she made all arrangements for us, we couldn’t thank her enough. These are down to earth folks who would not stir you wrong. If you’re looking for a peaceful calm place surrounded by caring folks, this is your place. Just bring bug spray!
