How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Verified reviewAmazing hotel in Hoi An, close to the center but on a quieter island on the side away from the noise. Invites you practically to stay in the hotel all day, from the great pool overlooking the river with the great food and drink service, the wonderful restaurant both for meals during the day and the full breakfast buffet, the beautiful design, and the amazing and attentive staff! Would definitely recommend this to anyone staying in Hoi An!

The reception staff wasn’t the most hospitable. There were many glitches in terms of a smelly room - waiting on room service to bring cutlery for over an hour. The empathy from the housekeeping staff was conveyed, but they said they’re under staffed and super busy at the time. It was 10:30 pm! It should’nt be under staffed while they’re as pricey as they are. When raised to the reception it was just sorry, moving on kind of deal. I wouldn’t go back, but the location was key is all. Also, one restaurant in the hotel? Breakfast/ lunch and dinner all there and everything shuts for 9:30/10 pm. They’d do great with a lobby bar/ something open inside the huge premise they have.

Verified reviewThe location of the hotel was great as it was close enough to walk into the Old Town and it also offers complimentary push bikes which we rode out to the rice paddy fields. Room was very comfortable however, you can hear people walking past your room when they are returning to their own rooms late at night. Some people don't think to talk quietly. I thought the hotel was better in reality than shown in the pictures when booking. Rooms are spacious and well appointed. Location was a short walk from centre of Hoi An, best of both worlds convenient but also quiet.

Verified reviewEverything was of the highest quality, the staff were excellent and the positioning was just perfect to enjoy the view and experience of the river, and have easy access to all that Hoi An has to offer, Definitely a good place to be based and visit the likes of An Bang beach as you wish with cheap taxis via the Grab App. Food and drinks round the pool were excellent, as was the incredible breakfast buffet. A real treat and really good value thanks to the low season.
We had a problem with one of our rooms but they moved us immediately, to an upgraded room and gave us complimentary cocktails. So an excellent response, and really appreciated.

Verified reviewMoire Hoi An was an absolute treat. The level of professionalism and service was exceptional. Breakfast and cocktails were top tier, and the room was beautifully decorated with a lovely garden view and a stylish bathroom with a bathtub. The pool was delightful, offering a wonderful view of the town across the river. It was perfectly located—so central yet peaceful. The staff were outstanding, and all the amenities you could want were thoughtfully provided. A fabulous way to end our Vietnam holiday. I’ll definitely stay there again.
