How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Booked 2 rooms, at check in and the next day i told the lady at the reception i needed to cancel one room due to visa niet being processed during TET. The lady at front desk said Okay, when i check out, they still charged 2 rooms. They never told me i had to cancel thru booking.com, bad service

A) I booked executive suites, which were stinking. Had to open all windows and doors over 30 minutes when outside temperature above 40 degrees. B) the breakfast is included but poor. Very limited and not at per quality C) the fruits are stale and even banana s are refrigerated. They are discoloured and clearly lost food value D) even the shoe polisher do not have cream there E) Toiletries are pathetic. Even the soap slice is so thin that broke into pieces when tried to open the wrap. F) i booked executive suite, so called a suite with kitchen, which only have dishes and microwave… they have induction cookers, but no utensils…no cooking essentials. Clearly one can only heat up but nothing else… cutleries are limited so in you have a child, carry your own… G) finally, the attitude of staff. I booked much ahead… closer to date was not sure about travel so requested cancellation waiver…. They received , read, but no courtesy to respond with yes/ no. When called in the morning, they were disappointed to hear we are coming and said we had your waiver request and was not sure you wil be coming… but never bothered to answer. The lacklustre professional attitude. Booking . Com can verify this.

Hotel did receive your request to cancell your booking on Sunday 16 Jun 12:20 and the next day the hotel had replied you to agree to free cancell your booking with no charge. When you check in, oủ hotel manager told you that and ask you to check message in extranet but we do not know why you do not see. 2. As you know the tempurator outside very hot, it is over 40 degree and the aircondition need time to make cool your room to balance with the tempurator outside. 3. It is the summer all fruite we have to keep in fridgor to ensure it is fresh. 4. We went to check your Executive Suite and found we set up full of cooking equipment in our cabinets kitchen. 5. Your room rate including 02 Alacart breakfast and we had served for you and your girlfriend. You had order one more breakfast for you and our staff informed you that it will be additional charged if you order more and you did not agree about it although your girlfriend had explained. 6. When you check out at Front Desk, our Hotel Manager waited and see off you at Front Desk, after listen your sharing and offer discount to compensate for your unsatisfaction although everything you told above is not quite true.
