Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaThe electrical outlets in the room were very loose and were positioned high on the wall, so I could not charge my devices without the charger falling out. See the attached photo of the leaning tower of Pisa I had to construct to give support to the charger. Although food is provided, it seems that some options are unavailable. I could have beer, but no ice with it. I could have breakfast but no fruit. The homestay is up an extremely steep slope, a little off the main road, a taxi cannot take you all the way to the door -- something to note for those with mobility issues.
The room was lovely, clean and spacious. The bed was of the hard type but was still comfortable with nice bedding. The AC kept the room a good temperature. The value for money was great. There was some food on offer for extra payment. Breakfast was tasty. The establishment seems to have a full range of tour-arrangement services as well. While billed as a "homestay" the property has more the feel of an upscale hostel than a private home. The location is good, not far from the marina where boats leave to cruise the bay, and with lots of restaurants round about. I close the nearby Nhan Dat Com Theo You Cau restaurant for dinner at 32a on the same street. Excellent beef pho and fried noodle.

New ZealandSuper comfortable rooms in a convenient location in ha long city. Close to lots of mini marts and places to eat, although everywhere seems to be closed at lunch time. The rooms were very spacious and the most cosy bed I’ve had in Asia so far. Staff are really nice and super helpful with booking tours and buses. Breakfast was amazing highly recommend.

PolandI would like to stay there for month or more even. Room was very clean, big and comfortable. Temperature was perfect and AC avilable. The owner helps me organise my trip to Ha Long Bay in good price (better than in internet). Location is very good, not far from the resteurants and shops and even local market. I recomend!

GermanyA bit hard to find. some instructions would have been nice. they recommended a minivan transport to Hanoi. Sadly the experience was not good. We were cramped into a minivan and I had to sit in the middle of 2 chairs. then I got moved to another van, then to another guy who then organised a car. the 2nd driver was driving aggressive and reckless, even for Vietnam. my backpack is dirty and has scratches now. that didnt happen in the last 6 weeks! dont use their transport services!
very friendly staff. room was quiet, nice and clean. good location, away from the street. so there is no noise, which is very important for me. they recommended a tour which was good. without the negative experience of the minivan it wold have been a 10 out of 10.

AustraliaNothing to complain .
+ The lady at the homestay was really sweet and friendly. She made sure everything was fine with our stay. She helped us to rent scooter and gave information how to get to Cat Ba by ourselves. We were able to leave some luggage at the homestay during our 3-night trip to elsewhere and even after that trip she helped us to book a bus to our next stop. I would say the homestay is a perfect backpacker -stay as there are nice public spaces to hang out too. Possibility to cook some foods at the place and has also basic dishware. Homestay is located a little bit off of the street (entrance through buildings and a bit up a hill) and thereby quiet. Surroundings seemed calm. There are still a lot of markets and restaurants nearby. The "tourist street" is also not far, about 0,5-1km walking. Room was clean and cozy with own bathroom and air conditioning. All in all everything worked smoothly and very good value for the price! -

RussiaThat was wierd and definitely not what I expected from 9+ on booking Apparently they have normal-sized rooms and also rooms the size of shoebox but they are the same for booking. On pictures, obviously, you see only the bigger ones. The smaller ones fit the bed barely but leaves no space even for luggage. Mattress have seen better days (or years) and springs were seriously biting in my back The aircon was caked in dirt and broke down in the middle of the night Curtains do not cover all the windows, so you are sleeping in brightly lit room Pool is empty I've overheard staff selling half-day bay tour to other visitors and it was double the price I got in other place
Location is good though
