We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

CanadaThe room temperature was too cold. There was no heat. The bed was too hard. Also the lights in the hall entryway to your room was off. Did not come on, so we had to use our cell phone flashlight to help see to open the door with key.
Not much to like, but size of room was fair.

United KingdomCommunication was difficult. However, the owner is happy to get out google translate. We asked the owner to do washing for us, and he said it would be 6 hours but we didn't get it back for 26 hours and when we did get it back it was all still wet and we had to pack it like this into our suitcases, also we nearly missed our bus waiting for him to give it back to us. After showering, the room became very damp, there was condensation dripping down the walls and windows in the bedroom. The window opens into the corridor, no outdoor window.
The location was good in Sapa. Short walk into the town. And very close to the bus station, so we didn't have to carry our bags very far at all. We arrived into Sapa at about 1am and the owner was sleeping in the reception to wait for us, which was really nice. For the money it was a good place to stay.

PeruWater pressure for the shower and water filter had issues on 5th floor. Sometimes there was no one around to ask questions or get info. Also during breakfast time.

CanadaThe owner never seemed to be there, even though he knew we would be dropping our bags off early the lights were out and he wasn’t there. The same thing happened at check-out and we were almost late for our tour because we were waiting for him to show up. It all seemed very disorganized.
The room itself was okay, but the beds were very firm, and the exit sign in the room was very bright.

IndonesiaJust like most places in Vietnam, very few people speak English. The manager does speak English, but the rest of the staff don't. They don't provide complementary drinking water.
The hotel is located near Sa Pa market and near bus station. So replenishing and transport is easy. There are a lot of cafe nearby. The surrounding area is not too noisy, and there is a lake where you can just sit and enjoy the nature. The room and bathroom are very clean and smell good.
