How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Verified reviewThe hotel location was perfect. Clean rooms and public spaces. Excellent wifi. Staff were friendly and helpful. Food was top notch. They helped book my excursions which all were perfect and enjoyed myself. As a solo traveller they gave each entry and exit feel like I was home with friends. Hannie made sure I was comfortable and enjoyed my stay and activities went without a hitch. Thank you Hannie for everything :-)

Verified reviewAbsolutely fantastic location. Walkable to a lot of Hanoi’s sites. The hotel is surrounded by amazing plethora of restaurants, cafes and bars! The weekend night market is literally around the corner too! Staff were absolutely amazing and nothing was too much trouble. Christine who checked us in went above and beyond, she looked at our list of what we wanted to see and helped us sort our days out. She also made sure that we were aware of road closures and time changes for some sites due to the upcoming national day. Breakfast was plentiful and changed slightly each day which was nice, your eggs are always cooked fresh too! Very cold AC which was needed given the heat and humidity. It rained a fair bit during our stay and staff were always at the ready with umbrellas. We even witnessed staff wading through ankle deep water to help guests out! Staff helped us out too last minute when we needed an extra night, and made sure we had a reliable airport transfer to welcome us to Hanoi.
Need to have in booking/hotel information that the pool, restaurant and bar are only accessible by stairs. Lift only goes to level 12 and these amenities are on level 13-15. Very important for people with mobility/accessibility issues. As others have mentioned to the pool isn’t in an ideal location. It’s just before going to the restaurant and if people are splashing around and having fun (which they are entitled to) it can make the walkway to the restaurant slippery.

The rooftop bar was hard to use due to lack of shade and fans, it was very hot without these. The pool being next to the restaurant was uncomfortable, there was nowhere to really relax, and if water splashed on the restaurant side, people could slip. Very steamy also being inside.

Verified reviewThe staff were amazing - from the doorman who immediately picked up our bags as we arrived, to the front desk staff for whom no question was a problem, to the maintenance staff who arrived immediately to fix a faulty air conditioner and didn’t get frustrated when we asked how to work the shower, to management who let us use the pool while we waited to go to the airport after we checked out.

The pool area is not very inviting. It’s inside. And the chlorine burnt my eyes. The room smelt musty like it got wet and never dried. The hot water was not very hot along with a pipe leak when Turing the shower on.
