Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesThe hotel has a very cozy vibe and the staff are very accommodating. We booked a family room with balcony but they changed us into two different rooms because of some construction work near the room and they didn’t want us to be bothered by the noise, we weren’t mad about it, the rooms were beautiful with the Fansipan view like the pictures shown! The breakfast buffet was amazing as well and it is near Sa Pa Station. Would totally comeback to this hotel and I highly recommend it.

IndiaLoved our stay at Sapa Horizon hotel. In a quite alley of lovely Sa Pa. The views were amazing and so was the staff. I had some last minute cancellation and they went out of their way to arrange a transport for me on very short notice. It is very centrally located with just about the right mix of facilities for a good time in Sa Pa.

United KingdomSome parts of the hotel were a bit dated, including the bathroom and some of the pillow cases/sheets. The staff were quite loud when cleaning rooms from 7 in the morning.
The hotel is in a good central location in town. The view from our room was great. The reception staff were helpful and allowed us to check in early which was great for an early morning arrival. We enjoyed that the breakfast would make fresh eggs or omelette and the overall selection was good. The laundry service was reasonably priced.

AustraliaConstruction work next door, not the property’s fault at all and didn’t bother us much. Power cut twice one day but affected the whole block and was quickly fixed.
Kind staff, the hotel was quiet so they actually gave us a nicer room. Beautiful location, next to a great coffee shop and easy to access all the attractions in Sapa. Did our washing, was affordable and nicely folded.

SingaporeThe room is large but due to the furniture you don't have a lot of free space but it's there in the photos so the hotel isn't to be blamed.
The view was stunning. I don't think you can get in while being in the city centre. The room was comfortable, and they provided us with all that we needed. It was clean, and so was the bathroom.

AustraliaWe stayed in the room in the photo which was the most amazing room we had stayed in on this trip. The windows and view gave us the feeling we were sleeping in the clouds. Staff were very helpful and friendly and spoke excellent English. Nothing was too much trouble. Location was perfect as once you leave the hotel, everything you need in Sapa is right there. For us, it was the room though on the top floor corner position which was the most amazing aspect. You could shower looking out to the mountains and street below in full privacy. Room had a fabulous verandah where we spent a lot of time. Breakfast was busy in the dining area but the hotel did have a coffee machine ! Highly recommended hotel. We hear further renovations are to come.

United StatesSome construction was heard, but it wasn't loud.
I’ll be honest; as a somewhat judgmental American, I wasn’t sure this hotel would be as excellent as it was. Construction was happening next door, the lobby felt lackluster, and I wasn't in the best mood since we arrived around 7:30 or 8 am after taking a train. However, the moment we spoke with the manager, everything changed. I discovered that the entire staff was incredibly accommodating and genuine. I don't know if we were lucky, but the manager guided us to our room as soon as we arrived, explaining all the amenities available. It was a beautiful room on the top floor (705), featuring a balcony, lots of wood, and a toilet with a bidet instead of a hose for washing up. The beds were comfortable, with complimentary fruits, drinks, and water. The room also included amenities similar to those in Japan: a toothbrush, razor, Q-tips, etc. This brought back memories of my childhood travels. The location was fantastic; it was just off the main street, keeping it quiet and free from tourist crowds. They did our laundry in just 24 hours and arranged a cab for us in the morning to take us to the bus station. Overall, five stars in every aspect. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking to enjoy a great stay. I wish I could comment on the breakfast, but we never managed to wake up to make it there.

United KingdomBreakfast. Maybe fewer options of higher quality would be better for a relatively small hotel
I had an upper level corner room with unbelievable views, even in the fog. The bed was super comfy as well. Only the breakfast was a little underwhelming, but they will be opening a new rooftop restaurant next year. Owner was warm and welcoming.

CanadaAbsolutely nothing.
The hotel, the staff, the breakfast, the room all of it was amazing. It started with being able to check in early after we arrived on the train. Then having the beautiful room and comfy beds and nice hot shower with plenty of pressure was great. The trekking tour (to a further away village and rice terraces) which was sold through the hotel was amazing. The breakfast was plentiful. But the best part of the hotel is the amazing staff that go out of their way to be helpful. After trekking all day, they even had an area for us to shower since we had checked out of the room earlier in the morning. Fantastic place!
