Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

DenmarkWe stayed at The Code several times during our visit to Da Nang and tried different room types. At one point, we had a 60 m² apartment on the top floor with a balcony facing the sea. We expected a beautiful sea view, but instead, there’s a tall "wall" made of rusty iron covering the entire façade facing the ocean, positioned at such a height that you have no view at all, except for small holes you can peek through from the balcony. It might be called modern architecture, but we found it very poorly designed and quite disappointing. The rooms with partial sea view have small triangular balconies with glass railings and offer a much better view. If no view is mentioned in the room description, it usually means the room faces directly into a wall and tends to be quite dark. The hotel is a bit pricey but offers generally good quality. We asked for cheese at breakfast but were told they had chosen to offer butter instead 🤣. So we bought our own cheese and brought it to breakfast 😂. We also tried a lunch dish at the hotel restaurant upon arrival, but it was expensive and rather disappointing compared to what you usually get served in Da Nang.
The Code is located close to the Son Tra Peninsula, where it’s peaceful and less touristy compared to My Khe Beach. Here, you can watch local fishermen set their nets and haul in their catch on the beach several times a day. On the other hand, it’s a bit further to drive to the restaurants in central Da Nang, but Grab is easy and inexpensive to use. The hotel maintains a good standard and features a coffee machine where you can select your favorite coffee for breakfast. Please note that the breakfast buffet is cleared exactly at 10:00 AM

United KingdomThe rooftop pool has gorgeous views of the beach and Da Nang. There was a good spread for breakfast and it was a short taxi into the centre. Food from nearby restaurants was fresh and the staff were welcoming.

VietnamThe breakfast quality was also highly commendable. The breakfast buffet offered a diverse selection of Asian, European, and local dishes that were deliciously prepared and beautifully presented. I was especially delighted to find a fresh mango smoothie on the breakfast menu, one of my favorite drinks.

United StatesI was put in the wrong room for my first night. They said that was the only room available. But online it stated otherwise. I had to show them and have a little back and forth, although they were nice about, I didn’t understand the confusion. Finally I got my ocean view. And since I was sick, that’s what I was paying for because I didn’t leave the hotel. They say at the front desk there is a discount for the spa but then when I tried booking they said no discount. I wanted to extend but the said my room type was not available although online it clear;y stated it was. Rooms are run down although modern. Right next to a dog kennel, so there’s moments of loud barking.
Some rooms have lovely views of the ocean. Modern amenities. Breakfast was great. Staff very nice.

I found the common areas unclean. Although the room was clean. The pool area while it was nice had missing tiles which I cut myself on. It's a long way from anything interesting but they do hire bikes at a good price.

United Statesthe shampoo and body wash soap are stored in little clay jars that can be easily slipped off when your hand is wet and break. If you break it. The facility has listed as 79000 or about $3 USD to replace it. Seem like a bit of money making gimmick. I suggest the facility use plastic bottles instead of clay jar for soap.
Hotel was convenient located near the beach and 7 mins from center of Da Nang city. The rooms are new and the view of the beach was spectacular especially during sun rise and evening. There are breakfast buffet, a gym, swimming pool and cocktail bar available. I recommend it.
