The included breakfast is not good and not worth paying any extra for to have breakfast included. It’s only one dish with no options other than a very overcooked and cold egg, rice, toast and noodles. The hot water in the shower only lasted 2 minutes and the drain didn’t drain whatsoever so the bathroom was completely submerged in water in under 2 minutes. There’s no heat in the room other than one small space heater and the bed warming pad.

The staff was attentive and helpful. The bed was comfortable and the room was big.

Early in the morning there's some very loud announcement/music right outside the rooms (but I don't think it's from the hotel).

The room was very comfortable and clean, and the wifi worked well enough for all we needed. The hotel is well located, with many restaurants nearby. The staff was very helpful, arranging a laundry service and storing some of our luggage when we were away trekking.

Great location. Staff friendly and helpful. Bath in the room with the red dao herbal bath product ready at hand (you do have to pay for this at check out but totally worth it) was a definite highlight. Fabulous restaurants in walking distance. the Ladybird Restaurant next door was a definite fave of ours. Walking distance to the lake and "train" to Fansipan. Be warned though if travelling to Sapa, the hawkers are RELENTLESS

... that also means that it is very noisy (traffic, loud speaker annoumcements non-stop - not sure this was only the case because it was weekend). The staff is very unfriendly! When I checked in they told me that I could not pay with credit card, despite they declare on booking.com that they accept credit cards (yes, that was also one of the reasons why I booked the hotel!). I told them that they should correct the information, but the lady only laughed at me, looked at her screen and told me that there is an ATM in town. Very disrespectful. She also tried to sell me an overpriced taxi to the train station. (Note the public bus leaves just next door is reliable and cheap).

I liked the design of the room and the location is very convenient at the centre of Sapa, but...

The rooms are very beautiful, and you can tell the owner put a lot of love into designing the interior. Everything is done with great taste. Our room was very spacious and had a stunning wooden bathtub. For breakfast, you can choose from a variety of Vietnamese dishes. I chose banh mi, and it was good.

The bed wasn't great, too soft for me. The room felt damp. The balcony had a view of just a wall. No cardmachine at reception, we had to walk in the rain when we arrived to draw cash. Staff speak no English.

The bathtub was great. The soap was great. Location was great. The room was nice and spacious. Good for Vietnamese tourists.

The bathtub was just beautiful, I would have liked to use it more and more ! Friendly staff and a very nice breakfast that I could have in my room. A perfect stay during a misty day in Sapa.

Door didn’t shut unless locked. Toilet in shower so got wet when showering, poor breakfast. Door opens up to public so heard the loud speaker each morning at 5:30am very loud in room for 30 mins and again in afternoon for 1 hour!

The room was spacious and clean. The staff made the trip for me- I left my passport in the room upon checkout and was on the way to Ha Long Bay (8hrs away) and the lovely lady at reception arranged for someone to send it to me by bus and I got it two days later!!!! Unbelievably kind and such a gem of a human being

READ IT CAREFULLY BEFORE BOOKING HERE We booked a room featuring a gorgeous wooden-made bathtub. The bathtub was wonderful, a true piece of art, but unfortunatelly it could not be used due to a lack of hot water. Shower and bathtub shared the same water heater whose reservoir was not enough for fill the tube in a proper temperature. Second problem was the breakfast, that is served at the restaurant next door. THERE IS NO COFFEE IN THE BREAKFAST OPTIONS, only Juice and tea. Plus you can only choose one type of food. Everything else you want must be bought at the restaurant what sounded to us a little tricky. One morning I was denied a place outdoor because they told me the hotel breakfast could only be served indoors. Location is great, but staying downtown means you will be waken up to the church bells at 5am some days AND everyday at 6am, listening to the loudspeakers installed at the main square.

Room was really spacious and well decorated. The property overall seems to be an old building recently renovated. The location is next door to many restaurants and shops, just some steps from the main city square. Bed and sheets were in good shape and also heating worked well during cold nights.

Amazing room! Very big. Super clean. Is basically a brand new hotel. The reception helped us a huge amount in sorting out transport.

The walls in room with the bath tub were a little damp, we were informed the hot water runs out so the only way to fill it is to wait ‘til it heats up 3 times. It took about 40mins in between each tank to reheat.

This was our second stay at the gate hotel. They smoothly and happily let us check in a couple hours early without any fees. Again Nga exceeded our expectations again by bringing me some snacks to taste after I asked her what were the best souvenirs to buy from Sapa. She even texted us after we left to make sure we arrived at our destination safely. Very sweet young lady!

We booked a room with hydro massage bath, but got a regular one 🤷🏻‍♂️ But I have some really disappointing points to mention: 1. I guess it’s because of the overall climate there, but you could feel the humidity even in the room, there is neither air conditioning nor any heater. And after 2 days there we had to dry all our cloths in Cat Ba sun. 2. There is this thing like someone is talking (or it is recorded and played) veeery loudly through the microphone every morning 6am and evening 9/10pm, so forget about sleeping long. There are gaps in the doors that effectively let in all sounds. 3. After one day trekking we had to clear our backpacks so we used wet towels. While checking out they’re checking the room and told us we have to pay for the towels (40k one) because they are dirty with some mud (it wasn’t a paint or sth that is hard to remove). Common, first time I’ve hear d I have to leave towels clear. Really?

Room was looking great, hotel seems to be quite new, I bit modern style, with some extravagance by placing a bath 🛀 in an open space.
