We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SingaporeA very cool concept. During trips, we'd normally stay out late and never uses the hotel facilities in the day. But you could enter the studio anytime so we decided to try something fun, never expected to lose track of time there. Amazing garden, loved it at night. Breakfast was delicious too!

SingaporeA hidden gem! The rooms are comfy, but the art studio is something totally unique. I didn’t even plan on doing art, just came for the location as it is between the beach and Hoi An, which are both a bit too busy for me. Great service & super friendly staff! I’ll be back :)

SingaporeSoulful Escape - I had the most beautiful and rejuvenating stay at The Interlude Art Retreat. The surroundings were serene and inspiring - perfect for unwinding and reconnecting with creativity. Every corner of the space was thoughtfully designed, from the cozy accommodations to the wholesome and delicious breakfast to the lush greenery and peaceful art studio flooded with natural light. Our host Tina, was simply wonderful - warm, attentive and deeply passionate about art and hospitality. Highly recommended for anyone looking to slow down, breath and reconnect. I left with beautiful artworks and new skills but more importantly, I left feeling lighter, more inspired and incredibly grateful for this experience.

SingaporeToo short a stay, next time I should book a longer stay :)
Very serene, clean and relaxing vibe. Must stay if you're coming to Hoi An. Plus it has the whole Art retreat angle which was inspiring for a budding artist like myself.

SingaporeThis place is quite different from your usual hotel. It’s a renovated homestyle villa with very unique design and lots of lovely details. But what makes it really unique is the art studio in the garden. They have different media, canvas of different sizes, sketchbooks etc… And all extremely reasonably priced. I have kids and I really needed somewhere to resource without any kid, so take note that it’s an adult place

SingaporeUnassuming proprietor and thoughtful crew made our 3 nights at this boutique lodge felt more like a homestay. Chirpy morning greetings would flow into easy conversations, and the hosts would know just when we were ready for our own time and space to relish our breakfasts and muse. Within the compact compound, we had satisfying swims notwithstanding in a 10 m pool, and calming light aerobics on the deck -- free from judgment and self-consciousness. While we were no artists (not at all!), The Interlude positions itself as an art retreat, so we decided to try painting. Thanks to the openness and patience of the studio director in encouraging us to try various techniques, the inspiration finally came and we expressed them onto postcards. They were childlike to be honest and I took a long time to realise what my artistic strength was, but the point is, The Interlude draws out contentment and simple fun. This vibe is in harmony with its surroundings. The Interlude is nestled amidst a vegetable farming village and a down-to-earth, simple lifestyle. Our days were also mixed with affordable good eating and walking around interesting Hoi An. And the evenings: The Interlude is nestled amidst a vegetable farming village, and so the nights were quiet for sleeping (and so were most days :). The Interlude was just soft-launched when we stayed there, and the proprietor was very welcoming of feedback to make the place better. So, while there are features that could be improved, it is promising. It's also value-for-money if cost is a key factor, but what we took away as the distinguishing strength of The Interlude is really harmony -- from what we observe as the genuine care & concern between the proprietor with her staff and between the staff and guests; to how The Interlude keeps a respectful presence amidst the verdant agricultural surrounding. I would recommend The Interlude for solo or small group adult travellers to Hoi An.
