How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewProperty was clean, quiet, comfortable and well located. Host June and family lovely and helpful. Very nice outdoor area to enjoy the very good breakfast provided and complimentary filter coffee a welcome bonus! Good motorbike biking and a very cool little bar right beside the house. 10/10
It is a little difficult to locate at first, up a narrow access, but persevere, you’ll be very glad you did.

The soundproof system could be improved.

Verified reviewThe guesthouse is centrally located with a nice mountain view. The owner June speaks perfect english and is very thoughtful in making sure you have the perfect stay. Breakfast is much more tasty then in our previous stays.
Perhaps a little book with activities in the neighbourhood could be a nice-to-have since Dalat has to offer a lot but most tourists don't know how to navigate there.

Verified reviewThis homestay has what you need for a great stay: comfortable bed with mosquito net, hot shower with good water pressure, good wifi, equipped kitchen. June and Rocky are excellent hosts with your comfort at the forefront of their minds. Their Mom's breakfast is arguably the best food we have eaten in Vietnam - SERIOUSLY DELICIOUS! Location is walkable to everything you need. The gardens make it a peaceful respite in the middle of DaLat. Would highly recommend!
There is some construction noise at the moment but not disturbing to sleep. Would love a comfy couch or chair in the room.

Verified reviewThis place is truly special! The homestay felt just like home — warm, welcoming, and full of kindness. The breakfast was incredibly delicious, clearly made with love every morning. I also rented a motorbike from them, which was in excellent condition and made exploring Đà Lạt so easy. But the real highlight is the owners — they are more than just kind; they are angels. Always smiling, always helpful, and genuinely caring. They even offered me a free wash and dry for my clothes, which was such a generous and thoughtful gesture. Everything was perfect from start to finish. I couldn’t recommend this place more — it’s one of the best stays I’ve ever had!

Verified reviewWe stayed for a week in a studio apartment with comfy bed. The green environment is very peaceful and relaxing. A self-service laundry is available free of charge. Excellent breakfast with a different dish every day, plus fruit. June, the host, is a very helpful and friendly. We rented a scooter from June to get around. We enjoyed live music at the café bar located in the same property. They also show films on a big screen in the garden in the evenings. Highly recommended!

Verified reviewWe stayed one night in the studio and it was such a perfect stay. The room was nice, spacious, full of natural light. I loved the curtains and bedsheet a little too much I kept taking pictures and looking at them. The tree in the bathroom area and the skylight was divine. Outside the room there’s a small garden with green grass and plants, overlooking a great view of a part of the city. As a Da Lat local I found it amazing to have such a place with such a view right in the center, normally you have to aim at resort like kind of places for such treats. There’s a cafe downstairs with perfect greeneries and taste. The host was caring, warm and she always addresses me by my name and I think it’s the sweetest, most heartwarming thing ever. We had great breakfast. She changes the breakfast menu every day. She’s super attentive and made sure we didn’t get wet going out in the rain. The common area is also nice with a sink out in the open so we had a pleasant time hanging out there. It’s within walking distance (7-10mins) to the lake and to our favorite local banh can place. Would definitely come back.
Soundproof was compromised for the sense of being close to nature and minimal concrete. We didn’t find it a problem but there’s that. We needed to be extra careful not to disturb other rooms. Didn’t affect our stay much though.

Verified reviewWe enjoyed our stay. Staff is super friendly and offers amazing services. They gave us a special shoe blower after our shoes got soaked dut to heavy rainfall. June (and her brother) speak excellent English. We loved the delicious surprise breakfasts that we had every morning. The beds are very comfortable. There's no airconditioning, but the temperature is comfortable in Da Lat. A fan will do. The location is in a quiet neighborhood, but next to a school. The sound of playing children didn't bother us. We also appreciated the free use of the washing machine (but it takes at least a day for your clothes to dry). There's a small kitchen with fresh water, hot water, a microwave and a fridge. Keep in mind not all cars are able to make their way up to the accomodation from the main road. Or, not all drivers are prepared to. So you might need to walk a bit up hill on cobblestones.

Verified reviewWhat I like is that the host family is really nice and friendly, and they helped to improve the cleanliness of the room after hearing our feedback. And of course, unlike staying at a standardized hotel, the room design and experience is unique.
However, it's still a disappointing stay to be very honest. There were many insects in the room on the first night that we could barely fall asleep. There is a primary school close by, and it's quite noisy in the early morning around 7am. Thirdly, Dalat is a cheap city and we came in the light season, while the price we paid for the room is close to a 4-star hotel, which does not live up to the expectation of 'this homecation must be better than 4-star hotel'.
Hi Eileen, Thank you so much for taking the time to share your feedback. We're really glad to hear you appreciated our family’s hospitality and the unique character of the space. We're sorry to hear that your stay didn't meet your expectations. As studio rooms are surrounded by a garden, with real indoor tree, occasional visits from these tiny neighbors are, unfortunately, part of the natural setting. That said, we always ensure the room is spotless when you check in, with mosquito nets in every room and natural essential oils to help keep them away. We’re always happy to take extra measurements during your stay if needed. As for the noise from the nearby primary school — we mentioned this on all our booking platforms under "Important Information section" so guests can decide if it's the right fit for them. Gentle reminder that Kadupul is a small, family-run homestay with a variety of room types to suit different needs. You'll find all our prices and details clearly listed on the booking platforms. We genuinely look forward to providing a warm, homey experience during your travel. Wish you wonderful journeys ahead, The Kadupul team

Verified reviewThe best homestay we’ve ever had. June and her family went out of their way to make our visit special and above and beyond when my wife wasn’t 100%. Staying here was a tremendous experience in itself. Like other reviews that have been posted, it is solid 10s and June gets a solid 15/10. Exceptional!!!
