Overall the stay was good, the mattress initially was very uncomfortable but when asked the staff replaced the matress immediately. The room and bathroom were clean and fine. However the room decor was a bit outdated and there was some damp patches on the ceiling. Good location and limited noise from outside. The staff were very friendly and used google translate to help communications.

As the hotel was central, it meant it was noisy at night, as you could hear music and club events.

The room was really, really noisy, so it was hard to sleep and the boiler/hot water was a bit hard to navigate. Given the price and the location this was not a huge issue.

Lovely little homestay in the hearty of D1 with everything you need within 2 mins walk. The host was a lovely and I could even get my nails done at great prices at her salon downstairs. The value for money was incredible and we felt very welcome. Would gladly come back!

The host is so kind and wonderful. The room is a great price in a great location. Could be a bit cleaner and the bed is very very hard. The walls are also not soundproof. Someone was using a jackhammer outside each morning. For the price.. you literally cannot beat this location.

The staff were absolutely lovely and friendly and always very welcoming. They were always keen to help out, allowing us to leave our bags there before check in and even lending us umbrellas when it started heavily raining outside. The room was comfortable and well-equipped with water and toiletries. The location was fantastic! It’s just a few minutes walk from Bui Vien Walking Street but since it’s down an alleyway, you don’t hear any of the noise at night. They also have a really great hair and nail salon downstairs which my friend and I made full use of!

A really lovely place to stay. We chose it because it was very affordable and the location couldn’t have been better! It’s in District 1 near the walking street but it’s down a side street so we didn’t have any problems with noise. The staff are also really lovely and had no problems with us storing bags before and after we checked in.

My best stay in Vietnam. I planned to stay for 3 days and ended staying 6, staff is great, super nice and friendly! The hotel is clean, the room is big and with comfortable bed, it has a ac, fridge, private bathroom and good price. The location is excellent, just right in the middle but in an alley that is quiet so easy to sleep at night. Very much recommend if you are in HCM :)

Do not book. Sadly it is a real tip - not clean, un-dusted and reflecting total and utter neglect for appearance, mould in the shower use or care, except for making ‘a buck’. Though at least it has a separate shower, in the front room , and on one of my several nights and mornings, the water was hot and the pressure good. Was it value for money? I did not feel so but it is a matter of values and opinion. There are definitely no extras here. The room is never cleaned, no such thing as a change of towels or sheets - indeed I doubt very much if ever changed let alone washed and made of a horrible cheap material. I found alternatives. As to ‘extras’ the two glasses and a dirty mug without a handle were them. All dirty and unwashed. The lighting existed but that was it.

If you to be in the heart of the area where many foreigners eat and drink in the evenings and yet be in an isle of relative peace at night, then this is it. But it is awful.

Room was spacious with a large fridge freezer to use. The staff were amazing and very helpful/friendly. The staff allowed us for late check out and to store our bags throughout the day without extra costs. The staff own a nail shop below the rooms, very talented and fair price!

The staff members don’t speak English. The room and the toilet were never cleaned during the time I stayed there and the mattress was very uncomfortable. The facilities need to be urgently updated.

The space is smaller than it looked on the pictures. There needs to be an effort done on cleanliness. The bathroom was wet when we arrived, we realised the toilet leaks water when you flush it. The fridge worked but also leaked water. The room could also use a chair as there was no sitting space apart from the bed which us very low.

Host was kind, available and helpful. She answered our queries and let us keep our bags there after checkout time. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom was equipped with shampoo, shower gel and toothpaste.

Showers in the shared dorms are very open. They have a privacy film on them but still.
