How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewWhat an incredible welcome: as soon as you enter, you can tell this is a special place. Set in stunning natural gardens, the chalets are rustic & charming, as well as fully equipped and decorated beautifully. It is a calm oasis off the main road. I met many lovely people. Just a short walk to the gorgeous beach. Really makes a change from bland, boxy hotels.
Everything was great. They don't serve food on site, but breakfast is served about 5 minutes away at Ken's Restaurant.

Verified reviewThe cosyness of the place is second to non. It’s awesome. Also Tien and Luna are Some of the best we’ve experienced. Nothing was asked to much and they always helped us with the biggest smile. The location is at 5 minutes walking of the beach… 10/10 would recommend!

Verified reviewWe were treated like family and nothing was too much trouble. We stayed in one of the bungalow rooms which was great. The communal are was a nice place to relax. Tine and Luna were exceptional hosts, all the staff were amazing. Location is close to the beach and breakfast across the road at Ken’s was delicious and included in the room price.
We loved everything.

Verified reviewWe really liked the super friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Tien and Luna were extremely helpful with anything we needed help for, like organisation of tours and restaurants. We appreciated especially the trip to My Son, early in the morning, with a private car.

Verified reviewBeautiful property on the beach, spotlessly clean, excellent breakfast, run by a wonderful family who are always smiling, kind, and welcoming. They make your bed every day and put up a mosquito net every evening. They invite you to lunch with them "if you want to share something or just a smile." The most beautiful place I've ever been to in the world. Thank you so much.

Verified reviewTucked away in a peaceful, palm-lined lane just a short walk from the beach, this homestay is everything you hope for when you want an authentic, relaxing experience. What made our stay even more special was Ms. Luna, who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. On a rainy afternoon, when we were feeling a little stuck, she surprised us with some freshly prepared snacks — warm, homemade, and incredibly thoughtful. It turned what could have been a gloomy day into one of our most memorable. It felt like being cared for by family. The rooms are clean, cosy, and surrounded by lush greenery. The vibe is laid-back and genuine — perfect for travellers looking to escape the busy tourist areas and connect with nature and local hospitality. We left feeling refreshed and so grateful for the kindness we received!

Verified reviewGreat cute little cabin by the beach. Awesome place nearby Hoi An but way more laidback and chill than Hoi An. Good restaurants and nice beach bars are around the corner. Breakfast is at a different location but super well arranged. Staff couldn’t be more helpful. Really great place.
I liked everything but it’s a bit more difficult to socialize than in a regular hostel. But still I got to meet great people.

Verified reviewThis place is more for backpackers but worked great for what we needed. It’s just a short walk from An Bang Beach, where we loved having free chairs under umbrellas and swimming in the clear water. We got a custom suit and shirts made by Ken, the tailor, in just a day and a half — awesome quality and a really nice guy. The location’s perfect for checking out Bay Mau Coconut Forest and Hoi An Ancient City. You can also easily take a walk along the beautiful Thu Bon River. It’s a convenient spot close to all the best sights and a great choice if you want a chill beach stay.
The weed smell drifted into the room pretty often—not really our vibe but thank goodness we were out most of the time.
