Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Super nice location of the hotel, right in the center of Old Quarter! Especially pointing out Linh, he was very friendly and helped me with everything I needed - can totally recommend staying here for the nights in Hanoi :)

The rooms and hotel are a bit outdated, but for us this was no problem, because of the charming atmosphere.
We loved our stay here. Perfect location in old quarter and near Hoan Kiem Lake. Lots of restaurants and café's nearby. All the staff were so kind and helpfull. The rooms were medium to big size with all the facillities we needed (fridge, hair dryer, airco, tv,...). They also cleaned the room daily. Breakfast was ok, we reccomend ordering something from the menu. We would love to come back one day. Thankyou to the manager Linn and his team.

The location and the staff are amazing. The room was quite old and looked used, and there was a lot of noise in the hallway. But overall, good value for money.

It was central in the heart of the old quarter a quaint little hotel and the staff are amazing , it is clean and walking distance to most sites , they also help with the excursions and are very cost effective

Hotel was as detailed.... very comfortable and right in the heart of the Old Quarter. Staff helped me to organise GRAB etc. Very friendly.

the staff was extremely helpful especially one lady at the front desk... the best I have interacted with in over fifty years of travel. There was not a thing you could request that she would not extremely politely help you with and she LISTENED.

The location is very good since it's very near to the famous attractions and it's very convenient coz there's alot of cafes and restaurant around the area. Breakfast is good. But what I liked most about my stay was the staffs are very frienly amd accomodating especially front desk receptionist Mai.

Stairs - always stairs had to go to 5th floor and go down stairs to 4th which is fine if you don’t have a ton of luggage or had a TKR. Also stairs up and down from reception and no parking.
Concierge and all staff super helpful, room was clean and bed comfy. Good location in old quarter near night market and food street. Also booked our tours through the hotel and they were good.

Breakfast was basic and bland, could have been better but was still clean and tolerable.

All is good.
This is a great property to stay at in the Hanoi Old Quarter area. From the front desk to housekeeping, the staff is extremely helpful and attentive. They are always ready to assist you in every possible manner. A special thanks to Linn, Audrey, and Vanessa, who were especially helpful during our stay. We booked our Incense Village tour through the hotel, and it was a great experience. As we couldn’t extend our booking due to unavailability for one day at this hotel, Linn kindly arranged a nearby hotel for our last night, which was very thoughtful. The room had all the basic amenities, including a refrigerator and kettle. It was compact, but perfectly adequate for two people — we had no issues with space. The bathroom was well-equipped, including a bathtub, and was of a good size. Our room was at the back of the building but had an internal window that brought in natural light. Breakfast is limited but sufficient. As a vegan, my options were few, but the fresh fruits and bread were enough. It would be great to see more vegan choices added in the future. At this price point, it’s a solid choice for a stay in Hanoi. Just a 2-minute walk to Beer Street and about 5–6 minutes to Hoan Kiem Lake. I would definitely stay here again.

Breakfast was a bit limited and decor a bit knocked around
