How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The host are so kind and helpfull. They trying to make me feel at home. She cooks a delicious breakfast of pancake and banans. He books my bus to the next stop with a shuttle that brought me directly to the station. Also, he was very expansive and make me feel comfortable.

The staff were extremely kind and went above and beyond to help us navigate the town. They also held our bags all day long and upon picking them up allowed us to shower and freshen up before a long travel night.

What I loved about the property was the family , so helpful the gentleman spoke great English and even took me on a tour on a fab bike and waited for me for 3 hours , really cheap too , couldn’t do enough !!! Good base ☺️

It was all nice.
The Owners are lovely welcoming people. They are friendly and extremely helpful. The hotel is well kept and an easy 10 minute walk to the Train Station if you take the first Bridge. A very pleasant stay.

The hosts were very friendly and helpful. If you require a softer bed, just ask. Mr Tuan spoke English well and even provided us with ride to Trang An caves. Mrs Tuan did laundry service. Great location 10 minute walk from Train. Highly recommend, great value

It’s a very good price and easy walking distance to the train station. I left my electric razor and the owner was kind enough to get on his bike and bring it to me before my train came, how kind of him.

She tried to trick me for the money. I put 250.000 on the counter, acting like is doing something else and then came back to the table and said to me, that I didn't give enough and that I gave 10.000 instead of 100.000. But I was sure about it. Then she said, that I don't know the money. Always check money both, before leaving. Another way of a scam, that I learned.

It is a small family hotel. We were like at home. The owner and his wife took care of us, could answer every question and advise us. They are so friendly, helpful. The breakfast was nice. Also elevator is essential feature for us. Good luck to this family

Maybe location? I couldn’t find any decent dinner places or street food close by. Tried the Korean place 2 doors down from KFC - terrible!! But it would be a short cab ride to find good places. A chair and table on the balconies would be a nice touch.
You couldn’t ask for better people! Seriously! Kind, warm, energetic.

The aircon was very very noisy in our room, and kept having to turn it off/on to get to sleep.
The staff were amazing and really helpful. They also sorted taxis to tam coc for the evening too. Stored our bags before the bus to Phong Nha.

Xuan the house keeper and his wife Hoa were super friendly, we felt home and get all information we needed for our stay in Ninh Binh. The facilities were good and you need nothing more. Xuan would books your tours, buses etc. for your journey. Next time again :) Thank you

Everything. We got a free upgrade to a family room and balcony. The room was huge with fridge, big satellite TV, kettle. The bed was so comfortable. The aircon was great plus we got an extra fan in the room. There was lots of hot water throughout the day. WI-FI was excellent. The staff were so friendly but also very relaxed and just let us enjoy our stay. We also rented a bike from them at a good price. One of the best rooms we have had in our 12 months travelling South East Asia.
