Friendly staff , great food and close to main shops

When we arrived we had to ask to the room to be cleaned as toilet and shower were dirty. The location is not far for the main area in port vila (15-20 minutes) however the area itself is a bit isolated, there is not much around. I would not recommend walking alone at night.

The place has a sports bar so its easy to grab a bite or a drink. Food is a bit expensive tho. We had the family room with our own toilet. Its good value for money if you are looking for a budget accommodation.

Bit of an ant problem in the room but that is probably everywhere in Port Vila. The food was a bit pricey but was nice.

Amazing view overlooking the lagoon. 20-25minute walk to Port Vila centre. Room was good. Pool was in good condition as well. The bar could get lively so a good opportunity to make friends.

Kitchen is too simple and no facilities to cook. No kitchen towel to keep the table top clean. Food got missing from the fridge.

View from the pub to the sea is especially lovely.

The room I stayed in had a window that couldn't be opened so the room could get quite stuffy and there was too much light coming through in the morning; ants

I didn't realize while looking at the photos that there is no real window in the room, which was a bit disappointing as you needed to have the light on almost all the time.

The place is in a good location, there is a local fruit market on the other side of the street! The room was nice and comfy, all the shared spaces regularly cleaned. Bathroom had hot water and a good water pressure.

Well, the one thing that was a bit of a bother was the Wednesday night karaoke, that mercifully ended a bit after 11pm. I'm an early to bed, early to rise person so just a minor inconvenience.

The room I got was ground floor, directly opposite the pool, so very convenient of not a bit public. The place was very clean and had all small kitchen stuff I needed. The A/C worked well and I had a hot shower 5 of the 7 days (there were some power breaks). Would definitely stay again.

Perfect budget/confort ratio for Port-Vila ! Hosts really accomodating along ou stay ! The Complementary breakfast and the equipment are a big plus for us budget traveler ! Nice view and the sea, market just in front.. not much more to say it was really good !

The basic rooms are a bit stuffy without windows or A/C, there was a good fan though. WiFi didn't reach inside the room, prob as it was on the far side from the bar. Might be worth asking for a room on the bar side if this is important.

The aircon within the rooms are too small for the size of the rooms. This need upgrading. The 5% credit card Surcharge is unacceptable. I had a bill which was over $500 Aus Dollars there fore had to pay over $50 in 'surcharge' fees.

The Owners (Dan and Irene), and the Hotel Manager (Kris) and all their staff were so friendly and helpful. A great friendly and relaxing environment to stay.

No wifi in room only bar. Strange lighting for communal areas that could not be turned on and off, staff had a tendency to get in your way and insist on cleaning/wet right where you were trying to work or relax and vague with directions, menu limited to burgers

My washed clothes were not clean, some even more dirty, the fan in my room was really loud

. The main thing that was annoying was that there was no cooker/oven in the shared kitchen, meaning you can’t make your own meals as much. . It is a bit of a walk to town, but it is very easy route to follow.

. The whole place had a great atmosphere, super friendly and helpful. . The bar has different events on through the week that anyone can join for free.

Coffee/tea part was not replenished but not a biggy, that is something we can provide it ourselves if we have known ahead , No fresh towels, we had to use the same towels for our entire stay. However we saw the notice in the bar on our last day stating that towels cost $ for rent...perhaps put the sign in the rooms, we would have rented some towels which won't be a big deal for us. It's the not knowing what to expect, otherwise, we definitely will stay here again...

Love the location, love our room, so private, the bar n restaurant and the pool is so handy, the view from the pool and restaurant area is an additional bonus...

There's no WIFI in the rooms, even in the kitchen/bathroom it's pretty bad so you'll have to go to the bar area for decent reception (and even then it's slow) Also, it can get quite loud in the evenings.

Nice hostel in a good location, walking distance to the city centre and shops/restaurants. Our room had a lovely view over the lagoon. The bar is a great place to hang out and meet people, they have happy hour and special events on almost every night! They provide a basket with snacks/breakfast upon check-in, which is great.

No wifi in the rooms- only in the communal area which is annoying I ordered pizza from the restaurant and it took 1 hour and wasn’t nice. Instead to the Seaview restaurant in town, they do a fantastic fish&chips for half the price

"Fully furnished kitchenette" limits itself to fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle and plenty of cutlery and plates/bowls. Food tend to desapear. You can't access wi-fi or your local data plan inside the building with the bedrooms. You have to go outside / in the bar to surf online. If you need a high speed wi-fi, you can buy a plan from the management. This establishment is a sport bar where you can rent rooms, more than a hotel with a bar. To fully enjoy yourself, you have to plan to enjoy the bar, its drinks and menu, rugby/cricket games and the music.

Dan agreed to change my dates twice to help me cope with the airline changes. It is clean.

There was some sort of animal making noise in the tunnel thing at the top of my room on a few occasions.

The rooms and facilities were basic but very clean and well maintained representing great value for money! The outdoor space with the pool, bar and balcony was a fantastic space to relax, socialise, eat and drink. All of the staff and other customers were super friendly. Would definitely recommend this place to friends and other backpackers and would stay here again.

Wish there was a rubbish bin in the room and that the kitchen had a hot plate. Also would be great if the wifi reached the rooms. Otherwise a great stay!

Spacious, room was good, had a great water view and comfortable bed, great showers and soaps provided were fantastic. Pool is awesome and wifi is decent in the restaurant areas.

Even though it’s not the closest to the centre it’s still pretty easy to catch a bus or just walk

Nice atmosphere, very clean, the staff was amazing helping us with everything we needed and asked for. Super value for $, would recommend and return.
