Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

New ZealandNothing!
Loved the laid-back, relaxing vibe at Le Vasa. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner were excellent, and especially the cocktails! The location is beautiful. My friend and I stayed in Room 1, one of the oceanfront bungalows, and found it more than spacious and comfortable. Staff were all friendly and chatty, and super helpful with bookings/airport transfers etc.

New ZealandWe had a different experience to my mum in the garden view rooms. In ours the only problem was the fan squeaking all night so we turned it off . My mum stayed in what was called “garden view” felt more like the staff room they were next to reception so banging and talking all night and the storage cupboard was right next to her room so banging around in there from early morning. The food wasn’t great. Our 1st breakfast we all had over cooked eggs, cold toast and mine had a tiny piece of shrivelled up bacon. In the 2nd day we had porridge and fruit we asked for Mums not to have banana as she has severe allergies. It came out with banana (no biggie mistakes happen) I asked the waitress to please take it back and we were really apologetic in saying she would need a new plate as the bananas were touching the rest of the food. The waitress was great and explained this to the chef who took bananas off and sent it back. I said I’m sorry we would need a new plate the chef argued with waitress and gave it straight back to her right in front of us. So mums breakfast was the 1 piece of fruit not near banana and 1 piece from my plate. Appreciate the waitress trying but the chef needs to know she could cause a medical incident.
Great staff for the most part. Shuttle drivers, food and Beverage and reception all great and really good service for the most part. Our room was one of the Oceanview ones and it was nice and was perfect spot for a kayak past local village

AustraliaLe Vasa is a lovely resort, with spacious and comfortable cabins. I stayed here at the end of my holiday and found the facilities to be excellent, with a good pool and restaurant. The location is good too being within 30 minutes drive of the airport. There was only one issue during my stay, with a lock on my door becoming difficult due to being weathered, and this lock was replaced within an hour or so of reporting the issue.

AustraliaThe pillows were not comfortable. On the Sunday night there was quite a bit of noise behind our fale with people talking and we weren't sure whether it was guests or staff.
Very happy and friendly staff who were approachable and helpful. We enjoyed the show on the Saturday night of our stay. Lovely pool area, nice sunsets, fabulous colourful fale

New ZealandThe room could've done with a bit of maintenance. But it was still wonderful
The resort felt very safe for our kids, as long as you're aware of the water all around. We loved our Fale, it had the most spectacular view over the ocean and Manono Island. The staff were very friendly. We'd definitely recommend and go back there.

AustraliaI was charged in the local currency (Samoan tala), but the receipt was issued in USD (I'm Australian) because I booked via booking.com. Since I was travelling for work, I needed the receipt in the currency that I paid for the room (tala). This was very complicated for the staff to accommodate, but they persevered and worked it out for me. I was very grateful for that, and I will definitely stay there every time I go to Samoa. However, from now on I will book directly with them to avoid this complication.
Great location near airport. On the water. Lovely helpful staff.
