I took the back room close to the pool. Weekends were noisy by the pool side.

No meals offered. The location was good.could access my work place and a number of malls on foot.

We loved it here! The staff was very friendly and caring and it was sooo clean and pretty! We slept great and it was super comfortable. The pool aria is nice with sun and shade a generally a nice place to sit and chat.

On the 1st night, there was a power cut (no electricity) in the area and there place doesn't have a back up power supply.

Room didn't have a desk to work on but the reception saw to it once I asked for it and they told you up front what wasn't working in the room. Have electric blankets for the cold nights.

The location is convinient, the place is peaceful, safe and facilities and atmosphere was very good. I will always choose Alberta B& B when I visit Pietermaritzburg. The place is convinient to Scottsville Mall and town.

The cleanliness, receptionist was very helpful and friendly. The staff members were very good and helpful.

The coffee was awful, fortunately we were able to purchase coffee at the venue hosting the Provincial Hockey Tournament, being Maritzburg College

They didn't have a remote for the gate nor did they have a bell button, which was a bit of an inconvenience because we had to hoot to enter in at night.

I unfortunately did not opt to have their breakfast because we had to start our day very early in the morning, but I am most confident that if their cleanness and great hospitality is anything to go by, then I'm sure their breakfast is just as great. The location was perfect, write in the middle of many stores and where my partner was having his training.

We had to go and iron in the reception, that's a little bit of inconvenience especially if you are staying for few days. They only have one remote for the gate, which is at the reception. The hosts should specify that you add a fee for breakfast and for our weekend it was stated that the chef was not available so we had to go out for breakfast even though it's a Bed and breakfast.

A mirror in the bedroom was stuck too one of the shelves inside the cupboard, I had to sit with my feet the side of the bath to blowdry my hair. as there is a nice and big mirror to use. Fortunatly I read previous reviews and were prepaired to take an extention cord along. I also used it for boiling the kettle as there was no visible plug for the kettle to be plugged into. There were two bedside lamps but only one was plugged in and working. The lampshades were wobbly when you moved it. This not mayor issues but in can help to make an even beter impression.

The bedroom were spacious and very neat and clean, and bed really comfortable. It was peacefully and quiet in the house. The bathroom were allso clean and tdy.
